It sounds like you don’t know how to work the app. I NEVER had to wait an entire hour or even 10min. You have to know how the app dispatches when your by a certain location. Sounds like you completely just wait for them to send you somewhere….

I don't know how anybody makes a living doing these deliveries. It's similar to how I don't understand how people make a living working at fast food chains. That's why I do it just for the extra on my days off. And my wife does it since she can take the kids with. Since we have nobody to watch the kids and can't afford daycare, this is a job she can do while I bring in most the money with my full-time job and also do this on the side to make even more. My advice is not to make it a career but to make it something you do to help out your full-time job.

If I am not mistaken is that an MC-202 making those quirky noises? Either than or a TB-303. I have worked with most if not all. I think the 505 is great for high hats, the 202 for muddled bass sounds and the TR-808 makes the best drum sounds that are heart pounding although the 909 is what works best in my opinion on the gong sounding bass drum, has a real punch to it and you feel it. Anyway. I was a DJ myself back in the day and worked in music. I came along here because I am skeptical as well about door dash and now I have found an artist who in my opinion is very talented. We have many venues here in The Land(Cleveland, Ohio) for artists to perform and you have the talent, plus you are obviously producing all this yourself and the quality of production is really good as well. I believe delivery isn’t for everyone, it’s like u r running your own business. This video contained valid points however there’s a solution or shift that can be talked to…thinking about sharing it via video as well! I’ve experienced trash orders but i also hv seen $200 days as recent as this past Monday maybe i should share my strategy n take to help more of us.

These ghost orders are insane. Ive been screen shoting alot of these orders that come up, u go to them, and theres nothing to pick up or people are wondering why your at their homes.

Good video. I've been doing it for 4 months . Now it's worse. They are taken me out of my zone everyday and putting me in a zone that doesn't have many dashers because they don't pay . Getting really tired of dashing and feeling my car up every 2 days . You explained alot to help me out. Thank you.

Thank you for the good points! Scheduling has been very frustrating for me because sometimes I’m done with my full time job early, but I can’t dash now. Or the days I have available there’s only openings for like 1-4 in the morning. I’m only doing door dash to make a little extra money if there’s something specific I want to get and not use my full time job income :)

Doordash may seem like garbage, but it really depends on your market. You must have been living in a poor market if you decided to quit. But another thing you could've done was to multiapp. Don't just use Doordash. Use other apps like Uber Eats and Grubhub while running Doordash. You could've probably made an upwards of $30/hour. Working long hours also would've helped. This is just my advice.

If you are relying on Doordash as your primary source of income, then that is a YOU problem. These gig jobs were never meant to be full-time careers. It should only be a side hustle or maybe just a temporary source of income while you are looking for another full-time job.

Today I went out dashing to kill time while waiting for someone. I was out 1 hr and got zero offers. It as very frustrating. I think I’ve pretty much decided in my area.. the suburbs of Chicago I have a total of 1 1/2 hrs the entire day to make any kind of money: anything outside that is a commute waste of time! The sad part is it doesn’t matter which zone I go to it’s all the same way.

Dang, that sucks. I’ve been doing DoorDash for three years now it’s amazing to me. I think most people fail because they start too late and they don’t have other delivery apps. If you wanna make real money, DoorDash and which I make about 200 a day I start at 6 o’clock in the morning and I work until roughly 4 to 5 PM Monday through Friday. On Saturday and Sunday I work from six in the morning to about 1 o’clock in the afternoon. Along with DoorDash, I’ll run Uber eats, shipt, and a catering order app that I get from time to time. And I also do DoorDash shopping orders. I roughly make 13 to 1400 a week. So no disrespect but when I see videos like this, I know for a fact, people aren’t doing the same thing I’m doing they’re waking up late starting work at like 11 o’clock only doing DoorDash. They’re driving around wasting gas instead of parking at a nice location they’re not working Night Shift to make up for the late start in the day. You can’t do that and be a full-time DoorDash worker you have to like grinding that’s the only way this job works. But the benefit is you’re your own boss and you don’t have to go work for someone under their rules. So to me, it’s worth working the extra hours to not have someone over my head.
