Chassis Rail welding and finishing
มุมมอง 3Kหลายเดือนก่อน
This chassis rail has a Tig weld root pass then followed by a mig weld cap pass. Then i sand the welds back to create a very nice corner and orbital sand the material back so that it is ready for brackets to be welded on.

Muzda widebody rear quarters Part 2
มุมมอง 3944 หลายเดือนก่อน
To fit the huge 20 inch Detroit smoothies on this body dropped Mazda I had to do a wide body modification to the quarters. I’ve used parts of a Isuzu Mu 4wd and the 4wd quarters off the Mazda to give me enough room. This video i bead roll the body line and trim the tray back down so i can tack the modified quarter panel on. Socials - Disguyz Customs (FB/IG)

This video i weld in the filler pieces I made as well as hammer and sand out the welds to make them invisible. No fancy tools. just hammers, Dollie’s and sanding discs.

great video how long to do
From across the pond....."YOU ARE THE MAN" for being a 1 man band you turn out an amazing amount of quality and precision. The attention to detail is beyond anything I personally have ever witnessed and am now following your channel. Great work!
Just wanted to say another thank you. Love the videos.
More than welcome. It’s only me in the shop so sometimes I put the videos to the back seat a bit due to they take time away from the tasks at times. thanks for watching them.
Beautiful work mate!
Cool to see the process. Weirdly, your like count kept bouncing from 9 to 16 and back to 9 (and 10 to 17 and back after I liked it) while I was watching. Not suree what that's about.
That seems very wierd that the count is doing that. I don’t run notifications on my phone so I only see it when I open the app so I got no idea what happens in real time.
Love the videos bud keep them up. Sharing knowledge is a great thing.
Going to try make some more time for them.
Very informative. Thanks.
Awesome work mate 👌
🇦🇺👍
Welcome Back Dude. Love this stuff
Thanks bud. Social media takes a lot of effort and sometimes I just like to work with out any of that extra crap
@@disguyzcustomstotally get it. Just know your efforts don’t go unappreciated, I’ve learned so much from your videos for my own projects.
That’s so awesome that you’ve picked up some stuff from the videos. I’ll try and get back in the media groove soon. So thanks again for following :)
Nice work! Curious how you did the internal gussets.
I'm guessing tacked them in place before assembling the frame then welding through the pre cut slots/holes after welding round the edges??
I tack all the internal gussets to one side of the frame first and place the other side ontop then tack through the slots. Then I’ll stitch them into place before the straps go on.
Hell yeah. Ya back.
Yah bud. Trying to get back in my social media groove
Beautiful.
Your music is lousy.
🙋 promo sm
Is the MU much wider than the direct swap Mazda Proceed/4x4 courier parts?
Love your work. Where do you buy the 4link bar ends/bushing kits from?
Cheers, I make all my own rod ends in house and machine up bush housings to suit off the shelf bushes. The only rod ends I buy are off the shelf hiem joints and get them from my local race car parts supplier.
Great work especially with the file, great attention to detail, theres no rushing perfection 👍
Severed ties 👍👍
Your finish work always looks beautiful
Your an artist mate
Love the way you've retained the body lines and character of the ute. I'm doing the same style of wide body on a 1970 muscle car and the challenge of making it flow and retain the original form is massive.
Most slept on channel on TH-cam. Mate keep putting content out until the algorithm catches up. Big fan since DUT days. If you get time can you do a vid on measuring up rails before you go into solidworks? Any tips or tricks to speed up the process. Keep it up!
Thanks heaps. I don’t really understand the algorithm, I just wanna do videos cause it helps me stay on task in the shop. So it’s more of a tool for me mostly. As for rail measurement, I think I have done stuff coming up that can be filmed for that process.
Nobody really gets it I don’t think. Keep on keeping on and it’ll come. You’ve already taught me a few things and I’ve been a panel beater for 26 years. Cheers mate
Keep up the great work bud
Thanks buddy.
Are you happy with the Everlast welder ?
Definitely am, easy to set and runs so nice.
This is awesome, did I miss you doing the Mesh? Do you have a SW add in? My SW crashes when I try to import.
Nah you didn’t miss the mesh bud, I thought I’d leave it for another video if I had enough interest. And yeah my solidworks crashed trillions of times too.
One of The best video series you’ve put out. I hope others can appreciate how educational this is for some of us.
Thanks bud. I’m glad you enjoyed the videos. It’s always nice knowing somebody is learning from what I do here in the shop.
Next lecture coming soon sir
Weldon sir
This tutorial is very nice sir
Amazing this lecture sir
Nice bud thanks for showing the other side of things. And love the old shop sign
Very nice!
Super Nice !
what thickness material do you use and is this something you use on every rail? or does it depend on the car.
I normally match the material thickness to the original chassis.
Nice work, you can weld a frame for me anytime. I would like to see you doing the welding, sanding etc. not just describe the process. I subscribed so I can watch this build progress and I learned some nice tips. Thanks! also it can be dizzying to watch too much head cam footage. Maybe use a tripod sometimes?
I’m working on doing some more in depth videos for the future and will work out a better way of camera stability. Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it
15:50 nice corded DA sander. Can you give me the make and model? Or tell me the wattage and the orbit diameter/Oscillation/Orbit in mm
Hey bud it’s just a 125mm diameter ozito orbital. It’s just a cheap one I think it cost $40 but it works and that’s all that matters
Nice rails Ching! Loved the good detailed info on your process and the Smurf finger sign off on the end haha!
Love watching the videos but would be great to actually see some the process in action
I’ve just filmed a video like this and I’m playing around with ways to film it like this with out it seeming boring. But thank you for the feedback.
Those things are coming out great!
Something I’ve always wanted to try but was afraid it would warp like hell. These are the informative videos other channels lack for sure.
nice!
wild rear end set up looks beautiful quality work you are an artist this channel should grow pretty quick thank you for the videos keep them coming
Loving it mate, keep rolling out the vids!
Great update Ching, that things looking real neat!
What a great thing to wake up to.
Clean work I like the chassis bracket tube design
Awesome work dude
Hell yea bud!!! Keep up the hard work.
Awsome work pal
