    Hey man so impressiv seeing you progress. very inspiring thanks alot! Hope its ok to share one observation. Watching you fly out it seems to me that you often start reaching for the ground with your toes first. wich stops the board beeing parrellel to the ground. hope this makes sence. thanks again for the clips!!

    • @TheHairyDurdles
      @TheHairyDurdles 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@enerian4525 💯 you are absolutely right! I noticed that observation myself and often times I purposely skate with my heels off the board, in addition to consciously trying to keep my toes pointed up and my ankles, feet, & legs in a 90° angle. Sometimes though, in the moment, I forget some of the good tips when I’m skating. 😂 I do the same thing for Backside Air 🚀 and when I consciously keep my feet, ankles, and legs in a 90° angle on landing, it’s always a more solid feeling. I even specifically called that tip out in the Backside Air 🚀 video I have, but again… sometimes my best tips slip my mind in the heat of the moment. Another example is inverts. I’m in the process of learning those and I find that I really really really need to focus on keeping the toes pointed upwards or else the board wants to revert out on 🛬 landing. I Really appreciate you watching and commenting and I always welcome Tips and Reminders. Please keep’em coming & Thank you 🙏🏼 🫵🏼💯

      @TheHairyDurdles 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@enerian4525 Meee too and I really appreciate you bringing it to the forefront. It’s gonna help me remain conscious of it. So…. I’m kind of a Weekend Warrior because of work and I have three kids. I’m a very involved father. Usually on Sunday, I get a good three hour session, sometimes longer, and I really push it. I don’t do much talking. I’m trying to skate as much as I can, have fun, share stoke with friends, and progress. Occasionally, I’ll get one maybe two very small like one hour sessions during the weekday. The types of muscles I have tend to get sore after exercise so I kind of live a little sore (warm salt soaks help) but now that I’m 48 I have joints to think about and those are the things that bother me more than muscle soreness. I drink bone broth every day (about 8 ounces) take a joint supplement (over the counter not prescription) and have really been focusing on my stretches. I actually shocked myself because I’ve been doing the primal squat to help open up my hips and, grab the board and this weekend I was able to do vert fly outs and keep the board connected to my feet the entire time because of where I’m grabbing. I’ll probably make a video on it because it was really eye-opening and it’s going to help me with late grab backside airs. Also, something to note is… I’m unconsciously skating in my mind, like all the time. I’m always thinking about tricks and little tweaks I can do with my body, feet, grab, speed, all the physics that go into it as well as mindset and confidence. I find myself thinking about skateboarding every day, multiple times a day, and living for the next session. So far, it’s been a healthy extremely soulful addiction.

      @TheHairyDurdles 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@benoduartebd 👊🏼 that is a great question. 🙋🏻‍♂️ 🙏🏼🫵🏼 thank you for asking! So I’m coming in at 45ish, or less when in the deck, and then turning in a little bit (probably about 45-ish ) but not as much as an axle drop. When I axle drop I pretty much turn 90degrees and drop in straight down… for this one ☝🏽the roll-ins… It’s about 45° or maybe even less of a turn. Imagine you’re doing a little manual while riding with the coping and then when you hear the truck scratch coping you stomp it in & stay in the direction ( shoulders & board matching) you’re going with the board you don’t really have to turn in too much especially if you have speed. Make sense 🤷🏽‍♂️

      @@jabbaughfc my friend! 👊🏼🙏🏼🫵🏼 So what I do is… get a ton of speed and at Edora I’m doing a tail drop from the 7 foot part and I head straight for the big wall then… I’m really sucking in my lead leg as it bonks through coping, I transfer the weight out onto the deck. But as you can see in the video, I barely make it onto the deck because it’s so much vert and then you hit the pool coping on top of that so you really have to focus on throwing your weight forward once the front wheels bonk through the coping. The key here is getting the speed, especially on that wall. Other than that, it’s a gut check. I know you can do it. It’s gonna throw you straight up so you really gotta throw that lead shoulder forward once you go through coping. Really appreciate you watching and commenting my friend!

      @@kelp1474 🙏🏼🫵🏼 I have an idea 💡 for a video. 100 over-coping Backside Air 🚀 challenge on a wall that’s 7 feet or above and goes to vert. I figure that will help me get really comfy with them and would be a nice challenge. It would kind of be a skate blog where people could literally watch me through the experience and I would talk to the camera during breaks 🤷🏽‍♂️

    What kind of deck is that? At first I thought it was a Blockhead CurbBarger but the tail looks a little fished out. Nice air. 👌

    Thanks for the recomendation. Two weeks ago I learned to drop in a ramp I built. Naturly, I wanted to go bigger, so I went to a skate park at the YMCA . Hit some mile stones, warm up at the hip, then the 4' ramp, after i got comfertable the 6' ramp. My 4th attempt, my board went to the right and my body went to the left and fell straight to the flat. I was ok, but I had to end the session soon after. My hip is still black and blue. This will deffantly give more cofidance and protection. Not young like i used to be. Much love from San Diego.
