This time we used the "Boat Trip Value Pack" of Meimon Taiyo Ferry.
What a deal: $44.50 for a buffet breakfast and dinner!
It is a 12-hour boat trip from Shin Moji Port in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture to Osaka Port.
The room we stayed in was a women-only tourist room, similar to a capsule hotel.
It was a comfortable stay on a new ship that just went into service in March 2022.
It was a very economical and enjoyable trip, so please enjoy it to the end.

日本にも観光列車が結構あるんですね。私は数年前に東日本大震災の復興支援で岩手県に１年間赴任していました。その時聞いた話しですが、三陸鉄道というのがあって宮古から久慈間往復貸切で宴会が出来るそうです。車両もう少しお座敷やレトロ等色々ありリアス式海岸を見ながら楽しめるそうです。私は激務で乗ることができませんでしたが

実は熊本地震の直後にも応援に行く予定でしたが、直前でギャンセルになりました。岩手県は派手さはないけれど見どころは結構あります。食物も安くて美味しいです。
