From what I recall, the 3070 is a bit more full-range as it extends lower, with a really tight and controlled low-end, and I prefer the mid-range in a separate driver. However, I kinda like how the 2070 uses the AMT for a bit more (lower) range and there's always something "different" about AMT tweeters... Anyway, I still use the 3070 today, since 2021, and I love them. If I could only choose one, it would be the 3070 for sure. I use them in a fairly small room and they still work perfectly, it's like magic. Cheers!

You would be perfectly fine with any of those, to be honest. I haven't heard the 8040B specifically but I would prefer either EVE or Adam sound.

Hi! Thanks for your comment. I am still running the 3070s and they are still my favorite pair from EVE. The SC2070 comes close... Anyway, I also used the HS7 for years and I still trust them for a second reference, but even the SC207 is already a big step up in terms of detail retrieval. I would jump to either the 2070 or 3070 though, you'll have monitors for many, many years to come! Let me know what your decision was at the end. :)

Hey, mine is around the same size and treated. The low end is so controlled that I don't have any issues at all with them. For example, a simple Yamaha HS7 causes more issues because of the "floppy" extension that comes from the bass reflex port...

@@AudioCHAT Do you think Hip Hop / EDM low end wont be an issue in a room that small? Ill improve the treatment even more with diffusion and bass traps but Im just afraid it wont be enough :/

sorry for the delay. I do really bass-heavy music and have no issues with it! The bass is so tight that I never have that "boominess" and extension of other monitors. I know it sounds weird but they really do work in my room.

Thank you! In my opinion the 2070 are a step above the A7V, but the A7V is also good and has some nice features like the built-in Sonarworks correction which is very helpful.

Hi! These were made by me. I have built a wooden frame, then I have three sheets of Rockwool inside them (two softer, and one harder on the back). Then I used a very breatheable cloth material to wrap them up! :)

Hello, I have never listened to the SC208 and KH310 specifically. I can compare to the KH120 and SC207 though. The Neumann sound is very analytical and "lifeless", let's say. I had the 120 for a while and they are great mixing tools but are incredibly boring and not inspiring at all for the production phase. I still prefer the EVE sound and would go with the 2070 over the 208 because of the way this new tweeter is implemented.

The 2070 is a very different experience compared to the 305. They are a lot more neutral and detailed, but the 305s are still amazing for the price and range.

Hello, mine is actually around the same size. What works well for bass is keeping the door open to the rest of the house, haha. Acts like a huge basstrap!

thank you! I've replied below, but essentially: if you make more bass-heavy music, go for the 3070 as they go lower and have a better "separated" sub-bass, but the 2070 are a bit more neutral overall.

Hi, what means neutral can you describe more. How good is low end or how much more 3070 have low end? Cause if the difference is really small I would rather get 2070 :) i work with sub music but I like how you described everything else so this new tweeter I think could be great update. You also described 2070 behaves like 3 way? I mix a lot not just produce so I'm really in between 3070 or 2070 but the difference in money is not so small.

Thank you! The SC2070 are a bit more neutral but I prefer the low-end separation on the 3070s. For audiophile listening either one of these would be awesome, but it depends on what you listen to. I would go 3070 for more bass-heavy genres, and 2070 for a more natural/accurate picture for others. Stereo image is similar.

I only had them for the testing period and the sound did not change from my perspective.

It all depends on how much you value mid-range definition. The 307s are already amazing.
