Dhul Hijjah- What to do
What Should We Do?
1) Fast!
It was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khaalid from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet (s) said: The Prophet (s) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays. Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 4/205 and by Abu Dawood; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 2/462.
2) Remember Allah!
‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (r) reported that the Prophet (s) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel ("La ilaaha ill-Allaah" - There is nothing worthy of worship except Allah), Takbeer ("Allahu Akbar"- Allah is greater) and Tahmeed ("Alhumdulillah"- All praise and thanks belong to Allah)Reported by Ahmad, 7/224; Ahmad Shaakir stated that it is saheeh).
It was narrated from Abu Qataadah (r) that the Messenger of Allaah (s) was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Arafah and he said: “It removes the sins for the past and coming year.” Narrated by Muslim (1162). According to another report: “I ask Allah that it may expiate for (the sins of) the year that comes before it and the year that comes after it.”

At that time, I had some preconceived notions, thinking this surah would be hard to get through and be very heavy in law. But when I finally got to memorizing it, I was astonished at how amazing it was! I saw how much hope Allah (SWT) was giving to indi...

what I don't understand is that the status of Aicha and the other wives of the prophet is to be the mothers of believers: therefore every believing man is a mahram, right? so the general rule is respected ... moreover, it seems extraordinary to me that the wives of the prophet to whom Allah has specially ordered to stay at home then travel around the world ... It is the first time that I hear the hadith about Ali and this woman traveling alone for the Hajj; where does it come from? ... what about traveling to countries where customs are far from the precepts of Islam (relationships outside of marriage, sexual freedom, non-modest clothing, etc.)? Does this fall within the definition of (moral) insecurity? for example in many Muslim countries a woman and a man cannot show up at a hotel without a marriage certificate, while in most non-Muslim countries one can imagine the freedom that exists there... thank you in advance for the answers!

When you meet an innovator ask him one question: has the prophet ﷺ or his companions ever done it? if he says yes ask him to provide evidence and if his answer is no, then the topic is closed.

Promoting Sect/Firqa and calling it religion. They took the desert clothing that is needed in sand storms and called it religion. The OTHER religious groups were ALREADY wearing it in the desert. NO ladies’HIJAB found in the Quran. The word HIJAB is used in the Quran but not for ladies. Check these Ayath/verses that they say have Hijab in them. (But not found) In Quran 33.59 - “ … JILBAB over themselves…” in Quran 24.31 - “… Khimar over the Jayb..” The word is KHIMAR in the Quran.24.31 - Root Meaning of KHIMAR is just a COVERING, it can also be a neck scarf, any scarf, dupatta, chadar, etc. There is no head, hair, veil, niqab or any such importance in the Quran, transliteration of Q24.31: “yadribna bi’Khumur’ihinna ala juyoob’ihinna” [Plurals : khumur, juyoob] Quran 24.31 (see the part of the verse they say has hijab ) // *..put forth the Khimars OVER THE JAYBs…*// KHIMAR = COVERING and Jayb just means OPENING, - like an opening in a dress, deep-neck, like shirt pocket - is a jayb (or) some people translate it as chest/ bosoms coz that’s where the Jayb is. Look at where the importance is in the verse: “COVERING over the Jayb” - but the EXPLANATIONS of ‘Sect’ /Firqa leaders promoted the concept of ladies’HIJAB - by adding it in books written much later after the Quran AND by adding words with brackets in translations and explanations - AND also these Firqa leaders wrote the Dictionary centuries later to push their meanings - please ask them : when and who wrote the Dictionary that they show their meanings from? We should not accept new meanings to the words after the word is used in the Quran - in the present era the meanings can be understood by checking the same word usage within the Quran - see where the word is used again. QURAN is it’s own DICTIONARY within it - (by using the important words in other verses and locking the meanings). They should know when the same root word is used for intoxicants even then it’s used for COVER - any intoxicant or alcohol COVERS the ability INSIDE the mind - Please NOTE : khumur /intoxicants/ALCOHOL does NOT cover the HAIR or outer-head. How can a religion claiming to be for the whole world - promote desert clothing for far off freezing lands? IF anyone wants TO FOLLOW WORDS OF ALLAH then they should verify with the Quran - coz every secondary source should match with the Quran AND they should not add words in translations. JILBAB: Means any decent OUTER CLOTHING worn above the under-garments - it’s plural is JALABIB The verse in the Quran 33.59 is about JILBAB - it’s about wearing outer clothing - where it also says that “they can be RECOGNISED and NOT HARASSED” So the condition is to be recognised : how will anyone RECOGNISE if you cover fully? - So avoid tight clothing - it’s really simple as per Quran. Wearing clothes that the security personnel and other people are scared of coz they cannot recognise the person inside - as a result you face difficulty and then that results in feeling harassed. Check the verse Q.33.59 below and remember that some translations or interpretations have added words in brackets - so look at Arabic /or word-to-word translation to VERIFY, yes VERIFY. “… alay’ihinna min jalabib’ihinna… “ -- //Quran 33.59 O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their JILBAB over themselves . In this way it is more likely that they will be RECOGNISED and not be HARASSED. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful// -- Notice it’s only talking about properly covering themselves - there is NO emphasis on head, hair, face covering in this verse also. - Some of them will not VERIFY what is in the Quran - word by word. And you may get to see how they will jump to start calling IGNORANT and names to the person showing them the research.

Define decent. People have arbitrary boundaries for the awrah of a woma - for example is covering the arm - is it up to the elbow, mid-arm, or shoulder? This is why we go with definitions accepted by the majority of scholars which all advise hair covering.

How many more deaths and rapes and robbing and kidnapping do we see in our age compared to thar time? Can you understand the magnitude of the crime and evil in our time now? Do you really believe my sister that this Era is the time of glad tidings? Human trafficking now is a business. It's not just bandits hiding behind a bush to rob you this is organized crime made possible by governments. It's not safer in our time. By far it's more worse. Even grown men are kidnapped and strong young boys are kidnapped and never seen again. What do you think happens to women in our time? All the rulings of our faith are now made permissible because everyone wants a leeway and everyone wants a easy luxurious life. All the rulings are twisted in today's time. Ribba etc are all made permissible in a twisted way. And I don't recall the hadith saying glad tidings to the time when women will travel. He was just saying that there will come a time when women will travel like that. The same as he prophesied everything else for the future. He said there will come a time when women will be dressed yet naked. He didn't say it will be ok to do it. The hadith is : 'adiy ibn hatim : if you live long, you will see the women travel from hira to circumbulate the ka'bah fearing none but allah alone". So my sister the wording of the hadith is wrong. There is no glad tidings in it. The scholars says that based on this a women can travel alone via the transportation route if it is safe alone. Meaning that if a sister takes a plane. Then her mahram must make sure she boards the plane. And once she lands her other mahram must be there to collect her. So women want to be so liberated, not knowing Islam has long past liberated women. They want to be liberated in a western way because they see the way the world is operating like the west.
