    14:00 In Roblox Studio, you can accurately convert studs to meters. Home>Game Settings>World. In this page you can set some variables like workspace gravity and character walk speed, and these settings show up with an equivalent value for meters. What I used to do is to write a very large number in studs, say 10000000000, which gives me 2800000000 meters, and then divide studs/meters. That is always equal to 3.571428570 studs/meter, so I think it's a precise and exact conversion

    This works but theres one problem for me, When i make a bullet model (Or any rectangular model) move with the module, it doesnt point on the thin side, it positions on the wider side, And idk how to fix it at this rate Edit: I also want it to point towards where its moving,

      Try rotating it by 90 degrees in the code, also if you right click the part and click "Show Orientation Indicator" it's going to show you where the front side is

    hey idk if ur still active but i have a problem where once i cast it in the onserverevent it gives me an error on the line where we set the rayResult, "Unable to cast Vector3 to raycast params" not sure if this is outdated tho (this might be bc i replaced "whitelist" in the params with "include" since thats deprecated)

    There is another mathematical way to solve for the bounce vector which is to find the tangent vector perpendicular to the normal vector of an object and project the velocity vector onto the tangent vector (vector projection). This will give the velocity vectors "shadow" on the tangent vector. Take that projected vector and multiply it by 2 and then subtract it from the velocity vector.

    omg ive been looking for this for ages, i was thinking of doing the projectile movement on the client and then when the server gets a hit, it deletes on the client. but i didnt knwo how to index it. using tick() is awesome. also i didnt even know about unreliable remote events, it make it event simpler for me. you earned your self a like and a new subscriber. i really appreciate it!

    Hey, could you possibly use this to make a movement system where the player automatically run along a circle, while they're also able to move: left, right, up, down?       when the server is passing the projectile data (origin, direction, speed) to client it should include workspace:GetServerTimeNow() so clients can sync regardless of any ping and latency differences

    What about parsing variables for the bullets trajectory equation. Meaning the traj get calculated on the clients. Cause in full game I think bandwidth has an impact on latency. Additional small thing that can help with optimisation a lot I think, is not even bothering to add stuff on clients worskspace if the part and effect take place out of sight, so a very low scal grid partitioning system, perhaps also making use of players FOV

    The issue with having hitboxes client side is that a user can exploit them to hit every time. I prefer having them on the server for that reason, also because everyone gets the same performance that way, one persons hitbox accuracy is the same as anothers.

      Yeah. The client can tell the server where to start it, but all validation should be on the server only. As long as simulation is consistent between client and server the client predicted simulation should be almost the same as the server, if ping is high there may be issues though. But it'll still feel good to use as long as it's predicted on the client rather than appearing 0.2-0.4s in the past on your client.

    A trick, instead of using Heartbeat and wait() in your script, use task.wait(). The task.wait() command can run at the same speed as heartbeat (60hz, every frame), but you can also input seconds into the parenthesis the same as normal wait().

    any advice on how one should go about doing this for spherecasts or other shapecasts? it works but it places the center of the spherecast in the ground which quickly leads to the projectile falling in the ground
