Hi there, as an engineer and PhD. in Neurobiology, this topic hit our desk not long ago and spent significant time testing other various prototypes. While we cant get into specifics without lengthy case documentation here, we’d like to caution those who do consider this option to hold off at the least, on this technology. Though on the outside it appears viable and we know with the best of intentions, our testing has produced a significant risk to life and cognition in 87% of the 100 patients tested, and the damage cannot be reversed. We’re happy to share resources and studies if you wish, or other data from external agency testing which is already reporting what we found, we urge everyone to wait for technology like this, as its proven nowhere near advanced enough to sustain produced stated outcomes. This technology is at least many decades away before we can fully understand its predictability and benefit to human physiology. It’s labeled at present banned in many states which evidence for will come forward in Q4 2025. For case examples or data beforehand however, though much of this information is censored across nation-state lines, we’re happy to share our findings for those interested. Sounds promising, but were honestly multiple decades away for this to mature.
It doesn’t go into peoples brains. It’s an AI accelerator in a SoC form for IoT, automotive, wearables etc and is available mostly as IP. It is not decades away, it has already been used in Mercedes EQXX, NASA, ESA and many other tier one companies.
What did I learn in 10 minutes? MQTT seems to scale to automotive production automation.
What do u suggest for a small home or just limited products usage at home, matter thread or matter wifi?does the two needs homepod mini?
Iotex is fucking scam
A rather large impediment for mass adoption of lost cost trackers that use satellite are the reoccurring monthly fees per device ($18-$25 per/mo) and the cost of data. The pricing matrix on some of these satellite data plans are a bit absurd. I mean, we're talking about counting BYTES when sending data via satellite, so you're squeezed which results in less meta data and other nice to have data which gets left behind. And, from my POV, the chips in the trackers need to auto fail...first try wifi, then cell, then as last resort try satellite. As I developer, I just want to send the data and let the hardware handle the RAT channel.
Planning my first of many server suits I need to learn a lot, and make friends, so I hope to find people who actually want to build something

*sigh* I'm not sure what's going on, LoraWAN was very promising in the beginning, but then everyone petered out... complaints about TTN and Helium has been obvious and even trying to find information on the concentrator side of the hardware (understanding SX130x chipsets) has been a brick wall. Heck, even data sheets that are from Semtech instead of HopeRF has been challenging. Chirpstack is a gift for home users, but it's still a challenge to deploy... I'm thankful that LoRaWAN is still the most open source and understandable of all the IoT protocols, but I'm really disappointed by the slow adoption rates, or maybe it's just bad communication? I mean this is the first time I heard about Starbucks, but Googling it, it's just refrigeration sensors? I'm sorry, I'm really a fan but I didn't think I'd have a LoraWAN-void home in 2024... I'm mostly using Lora for Meshtastic instead...

Love how this discussion cuts through the hype and focuses on the real-world application of AI in IoT. Too often, we see companies chase after AI without a clear purpose. Clarifying the business value first, as mentioned, is key!

Want to know how to unlock the power of Generative AI. Don't use it. We lost countless hours on bugs and issues with trying to use generative AI for anything from script writing, idea development and code generation. All fell flat and were just useless. Generative AI is a hype train.
For us, it's more about querying data than content creation. :)
