For me, it's money that could be better spent elsewhere. (A lot of money, because you'd need at least four per intersection). A few have appeared in my town, I've tried them a few times and I'm not convinced they're useful, even though I've been using my bike most of the time for years. Some of them are quite badly installed, a little too high or inclined (or have they already shifted since they were installed?). Even those that are well positioned are rarely used. This requires a fairly good mastery of balance and of the bike, both to stop, as you have to let go of one hand, and to push off with your foot. Less experienced cyclists don't use them, and more experienced cyclists don't either, because it's easier to get out of the saddle and put your foot down, and more efficient when you start again. If they were used, there'd be another problem: it's for just one rider.
Seems good but I'm anxious that it creates another obstacle at which you can bump into. And it narrows you path if you need suddenly change direction in event of danger
I actually ride there daily lol! Unfortunately it is tilted a bit weirdly so it could be more comfortable (if it was more vertical)

No zoning shops even the supermarkets are right next to residential houses everything is mixed except ofcource for heavy industry. You can reach a shop to buy food in 5 minutes on bike at 0 cost or take your car at $10/gallon and $4/hour parking tickets while they are 300 metres away do the math. Your faster on a bike as well if it's short distance. Besides rain attire is cheap and keeps you dry and the cold is no way near freezing for 95% of the year. And even for that you can buy good clothing to protect you from the cold.
Is Barcelona more bike-friendly than Madrid? I know Barcelona is doing Superblocks. Is Madrid moving in the right direction, or not really?
Hope people will vote green in the London elections coming up - we need more cycling lanes like this!
