A low investment for a huge return, and the quality of life improvements are of course immeasurable. Well done the Dutch again, if only the UK would follow suit.
Are these figures not enough of an incentive. ? Makes us look pretty dumb in the british isles

Never thought I'd see Toronto on this channel but yes, more of us cycle then we think and even more people would try if they'd expand more of the network!

If you are into trailers, also check K-ryole and Carla Cargo.
No zoning shops even the supermarkets are right next to residential houses everything is mixed except ofcource for heavy industry. You can reach a shop to buy food in 5 minutes on bike at 0 cost or take your car at $10/gallon and $4/hour parking tickets while they are 300 metres away do the math. Your faster on a bike as well if it's short distance. Besides rain attire is cheap and keeps you dry and the cold is no way near freezing for 95% of the year. And even for that you can buy good clothing to protect you from the cold.
Is Barcelona more bike-friendly than Madrid? I know Barcelona is doing Superblocks. Is Madrid moving in the right direction, or not really?
Hope people will vote green in the London elections coming up - we need more cycling lanes like this!
And when you pass Wilamina park, the police is their to give tickets to everyone riding without light and drive through the red ligt at the Jan van scorelstraat. (Round end oktober)
love this!

LOL - As a Torontonian, I can tell you, that's what the anti-bike-lane lobby keeps telling us. As a cycling Torontonian, I am about to go ride my bike, in February. ð

The transformation of Paris is truly amazing. Really shows you what we could do with the political will.
Fools
Looks like Bangkok.
I wish Bangkok had this much bike lanes. It's a car infested city.
So it seems.
Is this one video supposed to serve as a blanket justification for putting bike lanes adjacent to every street?
1. No. 2. Get a grip.
That be nice, works quite well here in the Netherlands.
No. We only need them along busy streets, arterial and collector roads. Residential(Zone 30) and pedestrianized streets don't need cycle lanes.
@@Mar_Ten Not everyone lives on a flat plan, there is many many MANY places that are built on hills and are unrealistic to spend your entire day sweating cycling up and down hills.
@@nonotorious1467 So Paris is on a hill? Many large cities and big population centers are not located on hills at all. Would be good to start getting rid of all cars in those regions first.
Alright, well riddle me this then smart arse. What am I supposed to do when it comes to picking up all 3 of my kids who all study in separate locations, tens of miles away? Then get my missus, and pickup the shopping on the way home? Get a grip of yourself ðĪ·ââðĪĶââ
Get your kids to get a bus. Your wife can certainly get herself home. Are you a taxi driver?
@@pepsipwns666 xD Sure, I'll just tell my 2 and 4 year olds to "just get the bus home". We'd still need the bike lanes to get out the way to make room for all these buses. It's unrealistic. No matter how much people want it to happen. You have more chance of hoping Armageddon happens before any city fully conforms to bicycles. edit - all the reprobates who are liking your comment blindly (like sheep huddling together during their fatal moment), are not brave enough to continue the conversation. My wife is disabled. And yes I am the taxi driver (Dads taxi's). It's called being a responsible dad. You'll know the feeling when you join the club. :D
Dayum bro, why r u so pressed on this matter? The people in this video are just biking through a bike lane because its safer than the road and they dont live far from where they are going plus they can get an exercise in or whatever. Its not like theyâre forced to use their bike lol

Found the (North) American. You people just won't ever understand.
In Prague they have put bike lanes 4years ago. Now, still, nobody uses them, because Prague is a rocky fucking place and nobody likes to constantly go up and down hills. Sometimes cars are just... ok.
Nobody? Not a single soul?
If no one is using them, it means there is still too much space for the cars and not enough bike lanes.
@@olaf9957 Many people are using them, it's just the West Slavic way of expressing thoughts. Ask me how I know. Nobody is using it = I personally don't use it = it's pointless. Egocentric thinking. We are still mentally far behind.
@@olaf9957 You're the reason they got rid of the dislike button mate.
