Yeah I had some wheel rub. Ended up using wider wheel offsets to try an reduce the amount of rubbing. It should handle a little better now with a wider track.

@FAST_RC these wheel offsets...do you know which one's by any chance?

It’s an old HPI body originally intended for the Savage. I never really liked how it looked on the savage so I stuck it on a stampede lol. These are pretty hard to find now days, but I did manage to find a reproduction version of the ATV body on eBay. The driver is even harder to find now days, but thankfully it looks like we can use the driver off of the promoto which should be easier to source.

@@FAST_RC thanks for the inside man! I found that replica body on eBay but they are Based out of the United Kingdom so it would take a while. I’m surprised no one here in the states has made a replica body. I also found some of the og bodys, the one that you have and they are all going for over 150 bucks lmao! And they are all beat to shit, yours looks great compared to the ones for sale! Great build man! Keep it never sell it or take it apart. It’s special

I used an old HPI branded ATV body. They originally made those bodies to be used on the HPI savage. They’ve been discontinued for a while, but you can find reproduction bodies on eBay that match pretty close to the real thing. I’ll probably end up buying one myself at some point.

Great question! For right now the driver is attached with 4 body pins. 2 pins attaching the handle bars to the body and 1 pin attaching each foot to the body. I also considered sticking the figures read end to the body using velcro to keep him from moving and inadvertently standing, but found that it was more fun when the driver moves. In a few of the clips you can see the driver standing or lying down on the body lol.

Running the stock vxl drive shafts for now with no issue. If I have to upgrade I’ll probably go with Tekno drives. I have a set on my Slash 4x4 and Stampede 2wd and they’ve been bullet proof.

You’re right about the over hang in the bumpers for sure. What’s your favorite truck currently? I’m curious because the TRX6 is my favorite, but it’s also the only scale rig I own besides the SCX24 lol.

Totally get it man! I guess I just enjoy being frustrated by driving 2wd trucks lol. How do you like Gorgon? I’ve been wanting to pick one up ever since they released it. From what I’ve seen it seems like an awesome truck for the money!

Great point about RPM shell and the type of plastics they use. I sorta felt the same way about their shock towers maybe providing too much flex. Definitely think RPM stuff is great in certain locations and not so much in others. Same with aluminum parts lol.

@@FAST_RC yes.. i stay away from aluminum for weight and yeah it dont break but it bends easy and stays bent nothing i ever used aluminum lasted long.... proline stuff is where it is at for the track expensive but worth it i never used rpm shock towers but once i still have them from the 90's they are like spaghetti to soft even for bashing help bend shock shafts and links

I’ve had good luck with buying a VXL roller off of eBay and then adding my own electronics and body.
