We used to sing this in primary school, and its been my favourite Christian song ever since. I only just thought to look up a recording of it. Though I believe they left the last verse about sinners out of the kids version.

I sang this as a chorister in St.Edmundsbury Cathedral over 50 years ago. It remains one of my favourite anthems.

Who would have thought that some church leaders would tell their people NOT to sing to the Lord in 2020 and 2021. Madness. Sing to your creator, sing with joy, praise the Lord. Alleluia.

A very beautiful son spoiled with all that unnecessary high, high falsetto. Those poor boys were tortured into force-forming those notes. My Jamaican primary school choir, circa 1966, gave a better rendition.
