It’s interesting to know that the largest Shay locomotives ever constructed were equipped with four trucks to support a larger tender with larger water capacity we came close to preserving an example sadly none of these massive Shay locomotives survive is the one we tried to save was lost to the scrappers torch

Such an amazing collection of Shay locomotives I wonder what the status is on that former Southern Railway consolidation steam locomotive that they’re trying to restore if it’s still going to happen I look forward for the first time in history a rod locomotive operating on the Cass Scenic Railroad

Great Video Man! I watched this a few days ago just haven't had time to comment on it. 😅 As always, the intro is incredible! Shay 6 working hard down the mountain thru the fall colors, then Shays getting ready for the day, just amazing! That whistle on 11 at the end sounded spectacular! I heard that Cass in doing some photo events in 2025 so hopefully we could make a trip to soon. Cass is such a great place! Keep Up the Great Work Man!
