i found it hard to hear you with that constant drone of 'music'
we use to have one of those in our house about 20 years ago, a Glow-worm Capricorn 246N, ours had grey coloured casing, got removed in 2002. I use to have to light the pilot if it had blown out. Pull the cover off, set the control to "pilot", press the ignition button 50 million times to get it to light, hold the pilot control for about 10 seconds the turn the knob to "on". Ha! the good old days, they don't make them like that anymore!! Use to make loads of noise when it was running, sounded like a giant kettle. Use to tick away quite happily when it was working. I miss it, they replaced it with a Baxi Bermuda and it wasn't the same, thats gone now, was junked in 2018 :(
Thanks! I could see TI Glow-worm but not the model. Out of interest why was the Glow-worm replaced, did it start to leak or the kettling became too loud?
@@Martindyna council replaced it because it was "old". was 25 years old when removed, still worked fine! it was first installed in 1978
@@Polysixchick The council may have been worried about spares availability (although there's next to nothing to go wrong apart for the gas valve). I have a personal view that cast iron boilers become less efficient with age as they aquire an increasingly thick layer of surface rust that cannot be removed by usual cleaning methods. In the 60s Radiation made gas boilers with finned stainless steel tube heat exchangers, so much better than cast iron for efficiency although less tolerant of scale build up and general abuse of course, that's where cast iron wins through.
@@Martindyna It's funny, when I look at that video the noise ours made comes into my head. It made a lot of banging when it came on at 6am, was always more noisy in the morning, I could hear it upstairs! It's the funny things you miss, the Baxi that replaced it was silent in comparison
@@Polysixchick You've reminded me that I replaced my parents' original 1950s oil fired boiler (Wilson Oilheat 35,000 BTU/hr with a vapourising wick modulating burner, like an Aga cooker) for a Glow-worm 45/60 floor standing open flued gas fired boiler in the late 70s because of the oil crisis. Like your Capricorn the boiler soon became noisey (due to debris from the existing radiators) and used to bang a bit when it first came on in the morning. I liked the burners Glow-worm used, gave a very hot clean flame; Potterton & Thorn were also good in this regard. In contrast Heatrae produced gas boilers in the late 60s and the burners they used produced more of a silent blue flame which became tinged yellow after about 6 months of use, very poor.

Hi...The blue wire on the aerial adapter needs to be connected to 12 volts because the aerial on the C3 has an amplifier built it.If you don't conect that wire your reception will be poor.

I have a question regarding Citreon C4, car Stereo change. I would like to know, if change my car sterio(Sony sony DSX A400), will my steering controls will work(Volume Up and Down, Track change, Play/Pause)? Because my steering wheel has functions, With existing Citroen RD4 radio, I can control my music functions with steering wheel controls, but If I change it to any other steerio, will I able to use the controls or not?
No there is a different wire that connects to the wheel controls. Probably best to get an audio technician to do this.
I upgraded my C3 Picasso radio to a nice Pioneer with Bluetooth, DAB and all that, but now i can't alter my car's time display, any way to do it without the standard stereo?

You will need to keep the original stereo to change certain things like date, time and kph to mph

I did this with an after-market radio and now my car will not start. The effects are weird in that the engine turns over, the wipers come on as do the lights and I can't turn them off.
The orange wire is (illumination) this is so when you put the head lights on it dims the stereo display so the bright display on the stereo is not distracting.
This guy is inexperienced, the extra antenna adapter he installed was not required the blue wire off the 1st antenna adapter he installed has the blue wire that should be connected to the blue wire on the stereo harness (remote) or to an ignition source, anyone that requires any advice contact me or refer to my many TH-cam videos
