Hey everyone! Long time, no upload. This past year has been filled with a lot of struggles and I regret that I struggle a lot with trying to find time to make these. In any case, I know that Battotai has been a long time coming and I wanted to get it out of the way.

And give them mighty blows! Discovered this little gem a week or two and ago and just couldn't get it out of my head; of course that means it has to be translated.

Hey guys! So disclaimer: This song is not politically affiliated, but I will always unequivocally and unabashedly advocate for free expression and freedom of speech. With that out of the way, I am very excited to have finally done an English cover of Erika Lied - perhaps one of my favorite songs growing up and one of the most controversial. I took a lot of general liberties with the lyrics this...

Bun-bun arawashi bun to tobu zo! Got recommended this song by a subscriber and I fell in love with it. I took more liberties than I usually do with Japanese songs - so forgiveness for any discrepancies that pop up. I tried to go more for capturing the spirit than the exact words. Hey! So I am super sorry that I have not been able to publish more videos. Between working a regular job and everything else that has been going on in my life, I've hardly had time to breath. But I finally got the time and sat down and got around to this one. Apologies if my voice is off - I've had the worst time with this one. Shout out to the amazing saxyuu who let me use his saxophone cover ...

Hey everyone! So this is a bit different than what I usually do, but I am a long-time player of HOI4 and a huge fan of the Equestria at War mod which sets in the game in the My Little Pony Universe. It has intricate story telling, unique and interesting factions, and everything about it is superb. That's why I wanted to give something back and see if I couldn't add some flavor to the Griffonian...

Hey guys! Decided to switch things up on a whim and did a translation of one of my all time favorite songs: Argonnerwaldlied. Pardon if the quality of this one is not the best - I know I'm not the best singer in the world! I hope that the sentimentality of it shines through despite it's imperfections. Music borrowed and edited graciously from: th-cam.com/video/R29ADPyBduk/w-d-xo.html

So I decided to do an English cover of the "Field Encampment Song". Sadly I couldn't find a piano version with all five verses so I had to cut the middle one. I do apologize.

Hey everyone! So this is my first attempt at a translated version of a song. I apologize for the audio quality, I am currently trying to save up for a better microphone. I took some artistic licenses with the lyrics, namely the third verse which, as far as I can tell, is from the prospective of the ground maintenance crews in the original. For the sake of clarity I changed this to keep it in th...

Hope you won't have anything against me writing the lyrics here: Miyasan, Miyasan Tell us if you may What's that flag that leads the way On your horse there all alone? Toko tonyare tonyare na! This is the flag that rallies Forward to battle sallies Striking fear in every heart That stands against the throne! Toko tonyare tonyare na! Strike them down! Yes, strike them down! May the rebels all be vanquished Who have dared defy the crown! Toko tonyare tonyare na! Aim with a steady hand! Yes, aim with a steady hand! And be ye not afraid now to Destroy the rebel band! Toko tonyare tonyare na! Are these not those warriors high These "laureled, fearless samurai" Who when they saw our forces coming Turned and ran away? Toko tonyare tonyare na! Cheeks turning pale from fright These "heroes" were put to flight They fled from the castle walls As fast as they could run! Toko tonyare tonyare na! Now to the battle chasing Fearless, our foes, we're facing Courage and devotion, lads! And to the cause stay true! Toko tonyare tonyare na! Fear not the sting of death And fight to your final breath! Ye warriors of the Emperor It all depends on you! Toko tonyare tonyare na!

The trouble, agony, hypothermia , hunger and everything solder had to endure is expressed in this march song. This remind of "Hakkouda-san death march" which actually occurred 1902 during Japanese army winter mountain excise resulting in the death of 199 solders.

Got the chills, man. I love the song, but actually understanding it as being sung (which sadly I cannot, when in Japanese) is such a different experience.
I hope you don't quit working on your channel, you're doing great 👍
The translation in accurate and poetic the same! Well done🔥👏
You sir, have great talent.
A Dub
The influence of leftism on this movement is shocking. I think it is difficult to deny that liberalism and the inevitable corporate rule it brings gradually corrupted Japan after the Manchu war and made her vulnerable to the English betrayal and eventual Anglo-American murder. Japan allowed her megacorporations to plunder Korea for fifteen years after her soldiers fought the Manchus to promote their king to imperial rank, and then the Imperial Diet colonized Japan's closest relative five years after 80000 samurai died protecting East Asia against the Russians. After 1921, the Japanese liberal democratic government failed to confront the Anglo-Americans and instead allowed the stranglehold on Japan to continue and tighten. The only thing they managed to do was cut away Manchuria from the ROC and re-enthrone the Manchu Emperor, permanently destroying relations with the Chinese and especially the Chinese leftists. That being said, the policies of the militarists were perhaps even worse. They invaded the ROC in 1937 without any clear plan, completely failed to discipline the soldiers (as Japan had previously done very well), and made exterminating the Chinese Communists a central war aim. They never gave up on this war even after it was clear to be impossible, even with Wang Jingwei on their side. They allowed the Americans to prepare for a genocidal war against Japan for four more years, during which they developed the technologies that shifted the balance (code breakers and radar), and they allowed the Anglo-Americans to attack when they wanted to, which they did in 1941 by crushing the Japanese economy. I think that the coup government should have granted Korea independence immediately, backed the Chinese communists, attacked England's empire immediately, and perhaps attacked the United States immediately as well. However even during the Chinese war there were some offramps. They could have made a deal with Mao Zedong to give him all of the Nanjing government's territory and supplies as well as anything Japan could spare to win the civil war. They could have even done this as an "Emperor intervention" for political reasons. Even if the Pacific War was already on they could have done this. On the Pacific War though, they were probably screwed the matter what given that it began in 1941 with the possible exception of picking more cohesive commanders for the Midway campaign (which Japan should have won). I think that Japan could have repulsed non-nuclear armed Americans from the homeland, especially if they had PLA to help, but it was impossible to win the war at that time. While I think that Japan could have crushed a Pacific War in 1930, it is possible that 1936 was already too late to fight, but it was certainly a better time to fight than 1941. This entire historical is just one of tragedy, but I think that the saddest thing is that the Anglo-Americans would ultimately been defeated in East Asia without the Nuclear Bomb. They probably couldn't have conquered Japan, and instead would have had to settle for a very punitive peace treaty. The Chinese Communists would have won their civil war, and they would go on rebuild the greatest East Asia co-prosperity sphere by opposing any American invasion, such as Korea or Vietnam, in full force, never ceasing to fight until the Anglo-Americans were gone. Japan could have joined a welcoming community of nations and avenged the Pacific War. By the 21st century, East Asia would have been the world's greatest superpower. But all of that is gone because both America and England can destroy the human race in 24 hours from one submarine, and consequently can commit any offence or violation against any other country, including China, by far their superior on the battlefield, and there is nothing anyone can do. Every last Japanese veteran will die never seeing their kingdom liberated, China will endure outrage after outrage, half of the Earth will become uninhabitable, billions of people will be reduced to utter misery, and in all likelihood the nuclear pin holding this vileness up with eventually snap and that will be the end.
