It was restricted after CP02, actually, so it's a Kuon + Coolmaster format until BP07.

Taken from community discord: Top32 at Grand Showdown Los Angeles with Dirt Rune! W r1 Usurpation Sword -> Curse Crafter to win board (in hindsight played it a bit slow but testing in this matchup was a bit minimal so got caught by surprise) W r2 Control Haven -> Ancient Alchemist Cleared W r3 Dshift -> Rimewind bounce papers + Europa good card! W r4 Egg Haven -> Charming Gentlemouse cleared early aggro + Forced unopportune egg activations into storm damage for recovery L r5 Galm -> Died to 2nd Forte; last card in hand. Also very close game. (Outed two Galmieux and a Forte thanks to the removal suite of Mouse+CC.) L r6 Control Abyss -> Very close game, burn was discarded and stumbled on the last couple turns of the game. W r7 Sanguine -> Charming Gentlemouse + Merlin searching Rimewind helped stabilize. Was barely able to eek out a win with Falise storming for 4 damage to setup lethal. (They took 11+2 from Antelope Pelt Warrior Triggers.) Top32 L Dshift -> Game was going FINE, not necessarily an optimal open but Heinlein milling 4 spells did me in. He was able to clear Falise + Europa with Heinlein alive on board that turn. I don't know if any deck is able to beat that. I've been meaning to want to play Dirt for some time now but the early turns from previous sets has always felt a little bit too anemic. Charming Gentlemouse and Passionate Potioneer (T1 House/T2 Workshop to similar effect.) does a lot to bridge the gap in your early game to your great mid-game plays! @@rodrigo.lamadrid lol I'm sure he was happy with his swiss run too. Most players would love to have a swiss run like that. It's part of every card game tournament. Sometimes getting a god like swiss run is more important than just playing the absolute best deck in the room. I'm not sure how you read this as being petty?

That isn't true. There's a publicly updated list, and more serials are pulled over time (galm #5 got pulled today, for instance). There are 100 serials in total.

For what it's worth, I totally agree with you on the token thing (and the leaders, although the precedent exists for that via the DX starter decks iirc). But I guess for me, it's not the main criticism I have with the product, I can live without proper tokens, and players new to SVE won't even realise that tokens are supposed to be hard copies. But the other aspects I mentioned, I do believe they impact both existing SVE players and also the newcomers, and it's what I prioritised for discussion.

I think it's because we have similar opinions on most of these topics. Potentially, we adjust the cadence for next time so that we can alternate discussion topics instead of having me starting each one. On a personal level, I'm not sure I was on my A-game either, our schedules are difficult to align. Nevertheless, thank you for the feedback, will keep it in mind for next time!

@@ShadowverseMaster Yeah, so I am not trying to harp on you for being really talkative, but it doesn't feel like a real conversation with back and forth if the conversation is so dominated by a single person. If Eve isn't a big talker then you might need a third person who can chime in and break up the feeling of a one sided conversation. I listen to this at my work and forgot their was another person at times. My own suggestion is to talk less and allow for Eve to have a voice and speak his thoughts, regardless of you both sharing allot of the same opinions. Also try not to cut him off when he does finally get to talk, because it makes it feel like even if he does get to talk, then his words aren't being herd. Again, please keep going please keep making content, just be respectful of each others time.

idk man, I've been playing control abyss since the start of the game and this list looks kinda troll. I can't seem to understand why they're playing a build that ignores the powerful necrocharge cards. They choose to run some sanguine synergy like skeleton fighter, but cards like maruzensky, azazel, and eachtar are too strong to pass up. Especially in this set 5 meta that will play for value and midrange

Well, you don't have to use Marwynn's 0-cost evolve vs the matchups where your opponents can actually take advantage of you. 9pp isn't necessarily worth more than an 8/8 aura ward that draws a card, ramps, and heals for 3.

@@ShadowverseMaster draw and ramp is neutral, you skipping a turn basically negates that advantage. And I'm pretty sure all decks can take advantage of 9 mana over two turns, decks that can't are just bad decks and shouldn't be in the discussion in the first place. You basically gave your opponent free storm, and if you go second, that's 11 mana for them

@@danhtran5088 This is just one of those situations where you can make it sound as good or bad as you like in theory. Let's just wait for the set to come out and then discuss how it's performing in person and in tournaments. For all we know, you may end up being correct!

We saw people run both builds (with or without eggsplosion), but the main theory is that 1-drops can potentially lead to more damage over the course of the game than the eggsplosion.
