I rarely see a review of Behr colors in these videos. I have painted numerous rooms. As far as paint, I prefer Behr Marquee paint. At times, I will use a Benjamin Moore or a different company color and will have it mixed with Marquee brand paint.i

Did the masking tape framing with painters tape and it was a good guide.

Do not use cutting board oil, or anything mineral oil based. Use pure tung oil. Extremely high water and mildew resistant, and good heat resistance. Wipe on one very thin coat every one or two years, and you're good to go.

To butcher block or not? The decision is really pretty simple. Butcher block, or other “soft” material is wanted wherever knives will be used. Better to scratch the top than to dull the blade. That’s a minor “plus,” one which is easily offset by the trouble with wood: WATER. Simply put, wet areas quickly damage butcher block. That’s why butcher block needs fairly common treatment with various oils or sealers. Variations in humidity, or repeated soaking / drying cycles, will cause a wood top to warp and split. Next to the range, setting a hot pot on a wood top will leave scorch marks.

Hi! Happy Thanksgiving. I actually love all those black color suggestions. I have this beautiful mahogany dining room table and chairs and also I have this mahogany China cabinet. I have a wall that I’m going to create as my accent wall and I wanted to be black, I just don’t know what black I want to use. I have this beautiful gold mirror that’s gonna go on top of the China cabinet against the accent wall. If you were me, which one would you use and for a reference in the dining room? I have one large window facing the living room and one medium size window facing, the kitchen, so there is the possibility of a lot of natural light if I want it to be. Thank you.

Look at your old cutting board, do you want your counter to look like that? No, but there’s no countertop that you would want to cut directly on, for the sake of your knives and your countertops, always use a board. I think wood countertops anything else wood gives the best feel and look at home
