@moon1te Yessir! One thing that was a life saver during this install was a 10mm swivel socket for the screws at the grill intake vent. Made that part a million times easier. Happy holidays to you as well!

Yes, the stocks are also closed and true cold air. But, takeda is a bigger housing, able to take in more air and bigger filter too. As far as sound, I have no idea lol. I'm sure they sound better but my other mods won't let me hear them. I also never dynoed them, so I wouldn't know the real big difference in terms of power. Intakes dont give you much, but takeda claims it's 22 more hp. Prob not true lol but probably will perform better after a tune. Thank you for watching! Happy holidays 🎄

Just wrap them bro and save the headache. Chances are they will fade/peel. To try to keep it away from the sun and do all types of unethical stuff to keep your trims from peeling isn't it. I wanted to change them then wrap but they wouldn't change them so I had to blast them on this video

@ yeah I was already thinking about getting them wrapped. Seeing yours wrapped definitely sways me towards it. Also what have you done to your exhaust? The sound is my only complaint with the car and I’m having a hard time finding something good. Yours sounds great!

That's awesome! Genesis knows the faulty things with this car and sometimes refuses to fix things. Did they state why they refused the 3rd time?

@arg70-y1z You don't necessarily have to disconnect the battery, although you can and it might be better is the real answer. But, I didn't and it was fine. The bolts don't have to get torqued down, they're mounting bolts so just make sure you tighten them securely with a bit of force. As far as bigger debris, no didn't notice anything, I've since swapped out my intakes and that's going to be on the upcoming video. But I didn't notice anything different as far as debris is concerned. Thanks for watching 🙏

Some brackets will have this issue that's why you see people sometimes having their plates vertical instead of horizontal. I got my bracket at eosplates.com and it has more mounting points where you can mess with it where your sensors won't pick them up. For majority of the time my sensors don't pick it up. You can always set your plate vertical although I don't like it but hey, displaying it is displaying it right?

They do bro, I've seen on reddit FB groups and forums that they've changed it under warranty. They for some reason felt like giving me shit about it so thus I made this video to blast them for it.

Thank you for watching first and foremost. I was beside myself when I saw the email of them denying me warranty. Till this day I have gotten 2 emails of denial and both are identical with 0 explanation. So honestly this was in August and I still don't know why. The shop wrapped them with black vinyl wrap, same process as when a car gets wrapped. I wanted to removed the dark plating first before wrapping them but they showed me on 1 of the trims that the wrap is thick enough that you don't have to remove the dark chrome plating. So I just let them wrap all the chrome around the car. That shop quoted the best price($500 for chrome wrap and roof wrap) out of all the shops I called. It's not perfect but it's a pretty solid job for the price.

That's dope that your dealership got them replaced them, you must have had a cool manager. But the fact that your saying never do this, don't do that. That's not something that us (the costumers) should be doing just so our chrome trim pieces don't get messed up. That's way too many do not's and never's for a car that's nearly 60k for some of us. I've had many cars in the past and this isn't something I would pay mind too. What if the costumer has no choice but to park it in the rain? Or forgets and leaves it outside in blistering sun? You're faced with consequences cause of that? That's not right imo, it's a manufacturing defect and should be dealt with accordingly. Recall it is the only option imo...like I mentioned before in another comment. We have to hold genesis accountable for this and raise awareness.

@@moon1te I agree, but I will say Mercedes is going through the same thing too. Most manufacturers have switched to fake chrome (polished aluminum with a laminate) and this is the result. Mercedes totally denied the claim on our 2021 trim, and it was doing the same exact peeling and then oxidation. Gone are the days of true chrome plating on trim I guess.

Yeah I probably should've taken it to a different dealership but since I was going to the chrome delete anyway I didn't wanna go through all that again. But hey listen, what's fair is fair, my car is still under warranty I shouldn't have to keep driving around dealership asking them to cover for something that I'm in the right about. Every dealership should just do the right thing right off the bat. A costumer paying their hard earned money to you shouldn't be going through the ringer for a warranty case. Idk that's my opinion at least

I didn't remove any valves for this installation. The only thing that was removed is the oem snorkels, and they were replaced by the velossa tech snorkels. There is no valve there. I also removed the shroud, but there were no valves there either. The shroud is just plastic housing. The P0444 CEL doesn't have anything to do with this installation on this particular car. The P0444 code is an EVAP issue. This installation has nothing to do with evaporative emissions. There's lots of videos on how to fix a P0444 CEL, so backtrack on what you did. Again, I didn't remove any valves or sensors with this installation. Anything removed was pieces of plastic. Hope this helps

The sport prestige models come with active valves for the intakes, but I don't know if the launch edition does?

My intakes didn't have any valves, I have Takeda AFe intakes installed rn. Never got a check engine or any codes after the intake swap or the snorkles swap.

@moon1te yeah, it's on the 24 and 25 models active shutters for the radiator. My 22 G70 SP don't have them, and my brother 22 Launch edition didn't have them either.

I have a 2023 3.3t. You have to check what you did. In my car, there are no sensors on the shroud. I didn't remove any sensors by doing this installation. The shroud is just a piece of plastic housing. The only purpose it serves is to direct air. No valves or sensors. Any sensor you removed, I suggest you put it back. Check my video thoroughly, and you'll see I never removed any sensors that I didn't put back. The only sensor I removed is the bumper sensors, but I plugged that back in when I reinstalled the bumper. Maybe that is your issue? Check your steps again and watch the video thoroughly. Hope this helps

@ we found out the 2024 is different than the 2023. Velossa Tech is making a new AGS simulator since it’s not compatible they are working on it now

@moon1te Seems like it, because your draggy didn't start yet and you sort of let off the gas. It sound like it was building boost.

That's what launch control is on the g70. You press brake, hit gas while brake is pressed (it build boost, then system says 'launch ready'), then let go of the brake and it launches

No, he clearly hasn’t figured it out yet but the car is actually faster not using launch control. The ECU is programmed to kill the boost for warranty purposes.

@thechannelflow7840 I haven't figured it out? Hmm maybe 🤷‍♂️. Haven't dragy tested without lunch control. I'm currently over boosting due to too many bolt ons and no jb4 yet. Need to change sparks and install jb4 with ewg which is currently just sitting at my house. But I'm currently recovering from acl and meniscus tears, so that's yet to come and will be explained on an upcoming video. Check out the rest of my videos if you'd like. @@moon1te lap3 is the best of the ecu tunes, if you’re full on building the car for racing. But for every day driving I’d say the EK1, especially for the price difference. I love it so far

I haven't had any issues tbh. I measure the before and after in 1 of my videos of how many inches the front and back drops. As far as snow. We haven't really had any snow in the last 2 years so I can't really compare. But I'm awd so I doubt I'll have any issues.

I would need you to already have the kit so that there's no confusion on which version you want to get. I don't work for velossa tech, I just know how to install them on the g70's. Ridgewood is an hour away from me so installation would be around $250-300

No, kit can stay on but you can control it with an app via Bluetooth. Whatever color and pattern you want, plus on and off. So I just leave the switch on

They give you plenty of wire, You can bring it into the cabin via the door you can stick the wire thru a gap in the fender and windshield

I think the intercooler is making me overboost due to having so many mods while being stock. Going to do the jb4 with the ewg wires as soon as I can. But so far car feels insanely fast with just bolt ons so yea I believe intercooler is doing something

Personally dont see point having addw1 already, just probably would have been my choice first if knew of them. Addw1 are nice, depends use I guess, without jb4 they may pull check engine light, which then will have take off for emissions, i will anyhow in Wisconsin.

The performance of the car does actually feel better. Car got a bit louder actually which was a surprise for me. So it's def doing something. More cold air=more power
