My trainer used to fall asleep all day and make me drive 650 miles a day on his dime. No thanks, Abilene yard is ran like garbage compared to Florida.

What about if I start driving at 10pm and drive until the next morning? Do I only log my start miles on the first day and then put the total miles for both days on the second days log?

Teach your drivers not to be rude. One of y'all drives skipped in front of me at the L & W. I was in line pulling my tarps off before I checked in and pulled around to get unloaded. The cypress driver decided to take it upon himself to to pulll around to the unloading area without pulling his tarps off and getting his load ready for unloading.

I just finished my 4 weeks and passed my road test at CTC Jacksonville. Great experience and opportunity was given. Mr. Jones and Mr. Ken and Mr. Randy and Mr.Robert the state examiner are great men. They want us to be safe and to succeed.

This my passion can't wait to start!!!!

I have 3 years driving experience with 1.5 years of flatbed experience. I have considered Cypress because I live 60 or 70 miles from Jacksonville and I want to go home more often. Unfortunately I have a careless driving violation it's been 4 years but they told me to wait 5 years. Also I have trouble learning manual transmissions even though I was told that Cypress has manual and automatic that you still required to pass road test in manual. I don't mind learning manual but I'm really slow at learning.

Studying to get my CDL permit. I talked to a recruiter last week and I can't wait. What if a person has diabetes but its under control with meds/exercise, would that stop a person from becoming a driver or can they show that its under control?

Hiring? I live close to Tampa on the Clearwater side. Just have zero exp in flatbed but do have about 3-4 mo OTR out west in mountains in winter. Would love a SE regional job.

I wish cypress did take care of there drivers I was with them for 2 years then when I got hurt from a preloaded load and had my right ankle shatter they hung me out to dry now I am on disability for that it is a shame I just found this on TH-cam now

I miss Driving the Big Rig .I drove for Ploof Truck lines back in the 1990's before Ploof filed Bankruptcy and Cypress bought them out ...Spent many days up there at that Jacksonville Terminal hooking onto loads and running them down to the Tampa terminal

They sent me home the 2nd day of orientation and couldn't tell me why! I had to write a letter to the safety department to find out!
