Parakeet Honey's Oops Under Kitchen Faucet
มุมมอง 23313 ปีที่แล้ว
Honey loves to take a bath under the kitchen faucet. He had an oops moment a few days ago. I watch him closely when he's in the kitchen because he likes to jump down into the sink and bathe in the dirty dishes. I hurry and rinse the dishes out and put clean water in them, but then he doesn't want to bathe in the clean water. I just can't figure him out. Enjoy!

Remember the HI-WAY Motel Denver CO in 1950?
มุมมอง 77314 ปีที่แล้ว
Photos of HI-WAY Motel, Denver, CO, from 1950. I talked my mom and dad into letting us stay there one night when our family was on vacation. Couldn't resist that wonderful slide that always reminded me of an outer space vehicle. Hope some of you remember this when you vacationed in Denver back in the 50s. I think it was on West Colfax. Those were the days!!!
All About Pigs NO ABUSE

I created this slide show in reaction to an undercover video of abuse of pigs at Country View Valley Farms operating in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. The video was released on TV yesterday and is probably on TH-cam by now. I could not watch the video but read reactions to it on the Internet. I can't sleep at night when I see animal abuse on TV. Images I have seen in the past stay in my mind f...
Goodbye Toyota

This is what can happen when you loan your car to someone who's car won't start. Driver left the ramp and rolled the car four times in a ditch and drove the car back up to the road to a filling station. No recollection of the accident whatsoever. Police and tow truck driver told him he was lucky to survive. This was one of my favorite cars a 2002 Toyota Corolla. Perfect inside and out. A total ...

I just came across this video this morning, and thank you. I was born in Omaha, and I'm 57, and still live here. The old days were seemingly very peaceful, compared to today. I feel a sadnees every time an old building is torn down. I think my Dad felt the samee way, he was born and lived here for 81 years, until he passed. Thanks again. Memories are nice.

Omaha's elected leadership has a "tear it all down" mindset that continues to this day. The cancerous expansion of UNMC has spread so aggressively that 10 homes, all in the so-called "Blackstone District" and all on the National Historical Register, are next in line for demolition. While progress is never perfect, there's a blatant recklessness to it all that is indefensible. Thank you for posting these wonderful photos. The tunes are also great.

Yep. That's the Big O. I was wondering if you would include Bishop's Cafeteria and you did. For a young kid that was the maximum possible Sunday morning breakfast treat. We had a lot of mouths to feed in our family so I didn't get to go that often but it was a thrill I'll never forget. I'm 74 now and live in South America but I'll always be a kid from Omaha.

Thank you! This brought back a lot of wonderful memories of living in Omaha from 1964 until '68. It was such a different time then. I remember riding our bikes up to Benson to the hobby store, taking the bus downtown to shop at Brandeis, Creighton basketball games at the Civic Auditorium, eating the delicious chocolate pie at Bishop's, and more. In 2011, Rosenblatt Stadium was replaced by TD Ameritrade Park and the College World Series has been held there ever since; plus the Creighton Blue Jays play their baseball games there, as well. You also mention Eppley Airfield; in recent years, the city of Omaha has talked about possible expansion of the airport to allow more airlines to start flying into and out of Eppley Airfield, and even go so far as to make it a hub for at least one of the airlines that fly in and out. Currently, as you probably know, only eight airlines fly out of Eppley Airfield: United, Frontier, Southwest, Delta, American, Alaska, and two charter airlines called National (not to be confused with the former National Airlines that operated between 1934-1980, then was absorbed by Pan Am at the end of 1980-start of 1981) and Allegent.

When the clouds look green and look like they are boiling and in mid afternoon its so dark that all the street lights come on, its time to find a hole in the ground and jump in.
