FRIGIDAIRE FHWW102WCE AIR CONDITIONER TROUBLRSHOOTING: 2024
Last Call. I'm going over the Fridgidaire window AC unit one last time. I'm glad I was able to assist so many of you with your issues.
After 2 years, I purchased an all new BRYANT 2.5 Ton HVAC system. My old system was over 16 years old. The condenser compressor shorted and I lacked the funds at that time to replace it. This year I did.
The Fridgidaire was fine for my small house, but the new system is better.
Thank You to everyone for viewing my videos and the kind comments. As always, there are "SOME PEOPLE" who don't like the messages I spread, but it's MY channel, and I will endeavor to help those who will listen, FREE of charge.

    Some good points. My takeaway is pay close attention to the keying on the connectors, get a socket for the PIC first off before you start assembling in case your PIC doesn't work at first and add in some protection diodes across the relays. It's not a bad idea and 1N4001 diodes are very inexpensive. Thanks for the video!

    I sharpened the end of a long 3/8" wooden dowel and from the outside, I spread open the lower back vent on the side of the unit to allow the dowel to slide in. I then created a new drain hole twisting the dowel through the back foam down low. Immediately all the water trapped in the inside came rushing out.

    • @ptarsob
      @ptarsob 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My ATU is on the antenna base 35 meters away from my shack. You don't need any display or control on the shack! The unit works perfectly fine without any remote control. When I need to force a re-tune, I simply change the frequency to any other band, apply RF power ( CW 10 or 20 W), wait 5 to 15 seconds, until SWR do goes down on radio SWR indication, than go back to the previous band, where I was trying to force an auto tune action! A piece of cake. I've been working that way for 2 years A remote control would be a source of EMI and will cost much more effort and money then the ATU itself> Well, that is my opinion 73 PY1JDX

    • @Ferret488
      @Ferret488 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can install them either way, providing that the wire that is in the pin 1 position is the same wire from one side to the other. The board is not keyed so that it prevents you from inserting them either way. As I pointed out, it is best to install one or the other first, insert the ribbon cable and connector, and then follow it over to the other board. This makes sure they are inserted correctly. I built this tuner and I am having a problem with it. It works really nice with my FT-DX1200 and I was able to calibrate it pretty well in the range of 5-100W. Now I have tested it with a 1kW HF amplifier and the power shown is clamped at 173W regardless of what the output power is. I cannot decrease the power of the amp below 250W because the minimum power of the transceiver is 5W. What could be the cause? There is not much documentation about this tuner but I was hoping maybe there is a setting I do not know about.

      You may want to press TUNE and AUTO when you power up. It should say FIDER or FEEDER. See what it is set for. This should be the loss of your coax between the Tuner and the Antenna. It may be set too high. If you have a 1 kw Watt meter you might try re-adjusting it.
