I live in this country, let me explain all the things that happened : - the worst idea was to book a hotel in the village/suburbs. - the hotel was probably like a dorm, im surprised you even got a hotel there. - they dont understand an ounce of english. - they are poor plus uneducated, they travel to cities to work. - they are also responsible for the dirty india that you see on the internet, throwing trash anywhere,spitting,unhygiene,etc they are the ones you see that serve dirty street food in the cities. the educated indians dont even travel these births of the train, we mostly travel in AC class or sometimes sleeper class, you were travelling in general class, mostly these people dont buy tickets to save money and hence all this ruckus. - they migrate from their villages with little to no education and trash our cities. - and last but not the least, do not come to india in summer season. Its very hot, like burning hot. - ill suggest travel northeast, the temperature might be better there and probably the people too.
