Easy Gluten & Dairy Free, Chocolate Chip Cookie - So good no one can tell the difference!
My traditional cookie recipe, substituting Oat and Almond flours, and dairy-free butter and chocolate chips! Full recipe below:
2 1/4 cups oat flour
1 1/4 cups almond flour
1 TBS cornstarch
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup vegan butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 12oz bag GFDF chocolate chips
Whisk dry ingredients together. Cream together vegan butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla in a separate bowl. Add the dry ingredient mixture into the creamed mixture, a little at a time. Stir until combined using mixer. Then add the chocolate chips.
Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Scoop dollops of cookie dough onto the parchment paper, leaving space between each one for the cookies to spread. Bake for 12-15 minutes until cookies are a light brown.

    I used this tutorial to make 2 bedding sets for my kids to take to camp. They were a great (all in one) solution to camp bedding. This video was so well done that I was able to make this with out ever having done zippers in the past!

    Hi Sarah! I know I'm late to the game but I just came across your bun video here. I am really excited to make these buns for my family but I do have a question. Could I please get your recipe for your sloppy joes? Everything looked SO good that I really want to try your recipe if you are willing to share it. Lol I loved your video. You do a great job of teaching folks about making hotdog and hamburger buns.

    *Idea : velcro "diy duvet twin sheet fabric" to inside foot end of comforter. All she has to do is pull up duvet sheet fabric just like your demo but easier to wash and not wear out comforter so much from excessive washing - just un-velcro duvet *sheet fabric* and wash without washing the comforter as often. Diy duvet twin sheet fabric is twin sheet folded in half and sewn like giant pillowcase but dont sew to the top for ease to get in*

    Store your yeast in the freezer. I’ve used yeast that had an expiration date that passed two years prior to using it and my bread raise had no problem. I learned this years ago and alway freeze my yeast.

    I am so excited to try this! We have a camper and the bed is SO difficult to make because there is zero space between the mattress and the sides of the closets at the top of the bed, not to mention all the extra fabric you're left with that there isn't room to tuck anywhere. I had looked into the zippered bedding and said "yikes, no way!" when I saw the price, but I knew there had to be a DIY tutorial out there somewhere to make your own. Everyone with bunk beds, day beds or a camper knows the struggle of trying to make their bed and have it actually look nice, so I'm really glad I found this, I will definitely be trying my hand at it!

    Do you have to do the zipper all the way down? Would it make it easier for a shorter zipper?

    • @mrmrsdiy3610
      @mrmrsdiy3610 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could do a shorter zipper, but it would make the blanket a little tight across the end of the bed, if you have someone tall using it.

    This is great, I’m definitely a beginner when it comes to using my brother sewing machine, would you mind sharing the stitch settings? Sorry if that’s too much detail, I just feel like a crazy person trying to tackle this but after seeing someone’s child was able to recreate this I feel like I can make this happen.

    • @stephanietomerlin3052
      @stephanietomerlin3052 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, when you take the fitted sheet off to sew the quilt…how do you navigate sewing it on with the machine when the fitted sheet bunches up? Or does the pinning/basting stitch keep it pulled out? Not sure if this question makes sense

  • @melissaupton7373
    @melissaupton7373 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you had cut the comforter all the way around you wouldn't have to wash the comforter as often as the sheets since it doesn't really need washing weekly like the sheets do.

    • @MonteAmnah
      @MonteAmnah ปีที่แล้ว

      If you cut the comforter all the way around and then can zip the top off, you still would want to wash the fitted sheet wouldn't you? I may not quite be seeing what you are suggesting.

  • @rickharks4515

    hi this is Sue, as a woman who has been making bread for many years, you need to add at least a tablespoon of sugar to feed your yeast.. At the 10 minute mark you should have a good inch of foam. Salt should be added with your flour, it can kill your yeast. NEVER, NEVER go above #2 on your stand mixer it will burn your motor out fast, You should also put alittle oil on all of that ball of dough, and put it in the oven with the proofing setting or just the light, with a bread pan filled with boiling hot water, to help with the rise and and hour and a half is plenty of time to let it rise. When it has risen, you don't need to kneed it again, just punch it down and do what ever your going to do with it, eg. buns, loaves, etc. You need a scale to you can weigh out equal amouts, l now hamburger buns for us are 85 grams. and hotdog buns are 75 grams. and a loaf of bread is 400 and for a large loaf 800 grams. A hint, when forming your buns, let them rest for 10 minutes before smushing them.

      I’d also add sugar to the yeast and warm water, hers sitting for 10 minutes barely had and foam on it because she didn’t add sugar to feed the yeast the foam should have been about an inch or more thick sitting for 10 minutes

    Absolutely AMAZING that you still work with the imperial measuring system. Your 'one cup of flour' is totally different than the same cup in someone else house. As a matter of fact, I would bet a cup of flour varies as much as 10 grams in YOUR house. Get with the 21st century and go digital!
