Introverts Are Not Broken – Society is!
In a world that celebrates loudness, visibility, and constant engagement, introverts often find themselves misunderstood. This video delves into the essence of introversion, debunking common misconceptions and highlighting the biological and psychological roots behind it. Contrary to societal stereotypes, introverts are not asocial or antisocial; they simply thrive in quieter, more reflective environments. From Carl Jung's theories to the role of the Reticular Activating System (RAS) in sensory processing, the video explores why introverts prefer solitude and meaningful connections over the extrovert-driven ideals of success. It’s a celebration of diversity in personality, emphasizing that introversion is not a flaw but a valid way of experiencing the world.

We all have a dark side that we often try to ignore, but it doesn't go away. Instead, it becomes part of our unconscious, which Carl Jung called the shadow. Jung found that every person has two sides: the light side, or ego, which is how we present ourselves to the world and how we think we should behave, and the dark side, or shadow, which contains the aspects of ourselves we deny and hide. You'll NEVER Be Truly Happy | According to Schopenhauer
I really enjoyed this video, Arthur Schopenhauer taught a lot of good lessons here.
Hey, stop talking about me like that!
You have touched upon a beautiful and meaningful subject again. This situation is a state of "existential sleep" that can be associated with the monotony of time, affecting both the individual and social existence of a person. According to Heidegger, the individual gets lost in the daily routine without questioning his unique existence. This causes the person to live like a "thing" and leads to a blur in the subjective experience of time. The character Oblomov has made inactivity a conscious choice. However, this choice is not simply laziness, but rather a result of his reaction to the meaninglessness of the world around him. Jean-Paul Sartre's concept of "nausea" offers an important parallel here: When a person does not want to take on the burden and responsibilities of life, they escape from freedom in a way. This fear of freedom gives rise to inaction. One reason for the prevalence of "Oblomov Syndrome" in the modern world is that individuals are crushed under constant performance expectations and cannot go beyond a life indexed to success. While this pressure from society encourages people to dream, it distances them from the risk of realizing these dreams. Fear of realizing dreams causes the individual to be stuck at an aesthetic level. The success-oriented structure of society pushes the individual into constant performance anxiety. This causes the individual to move away from their subjective values and act according to society's expectations. Society only values the individual as long as they are productive; this leads to the individual breaking away from their own identity. Viktor Frankl's logotherapy approach can be applied to get out of this cycle. When the individual clarifies their search for meaning, they can break free from inactivity. This meaning can be achieved through personal goals or serving others. Confronting "existential anxiety" can direct the individual to an authentic life. This courage allows the individual to take action to shape their own life. Big actions usually start with small steps. Instead of waiting for something to change completely, they can break the cycle with small, concrete steps. The individual must question society's definition of success and rebuild their values.
Shopenhauer was such a fool.
Does it still count if what's holding you back is lack of resources and like-minded individuals?
This is how I feel. So many "dreams", but no one to share them with...
@NiallBoggins I don't have any dreams anymore... My soul has been crushed... I still have some things I would do if I had the money and people who wanted to join me but no dreams... Just nightmares..

Suppressing mana it is!
I think it's important to state that Zimbardo pushed the experiment to be more violent and that by involving himself in the experiment he lost his objectivity. A guard participant has stated years later that he was acting that way because that's what Zimbardo wanted. It's an interesting case on authority, but it's important to remember that the behavior did not arise spontaneously. A good counter point is the case of the Sex Raft, where a guy sailed on a raft with several other people to prove that white men should run the world. It also lacks scientific rigor but he tried everything he could to make the people hate each other but everyone just ended up hating him. I think the crucial difference is that the sex raft had a captain and crew and the scientist was just supposed to observe. While everyone knew he was the ultimate authority on the raft, he had instructed them to listen to the captain, unlike Zimbardo who placed himself at the top of the hierarchy. I don't think we're dammed to descend into animals. I think it's an option, but enough people need to choose not to.
Like trump just did!
In front of w00omen only. Especially if you have money. Men, no matter what, unless you're a reclusive writer, won't lead to success. Pretend to be dumb around women only. If you know, cool. If you don't, cool. Now... outplaying those above, in a work situation is the only exception.
Commiting atrocities was actually even very hard on the psyche of the SS. People who say we are all psychopathic deep down are just being edge lords.

So you're saying Im Schopenhauer
But we now know the Stanford prison experiment was faked.
Not fake. Manipulated.
Only The Qur'an Islam and Allaah/The Absolute Authority will put to End this human behaviour.
If it requires not caring about others opinions, then what is the point in caring whether you're perceived as smart or stupid in the first place to prompt this change in behavior
Yeah I realized this sometime around college. Things are just easier and does give you a positive feeling.
I have found that you don’t actually have to ACT DUMB, you merely have to stay quiet in company and listen. People automatically assume that you ARE dumb, and meanwhile you are learning a great deal about human nature! I find this technique very easy because I have ASD and am a naturally low-verbal person.

“Feeling Lonely” is only for those who believe they essentially need “friends” to be fulfilled……………….but never yet reached enlightenment on how solitude brings oneself alignment
This is so funny that mental patients were better at making a proper diagnosis than were the the doctors.
What an interesting story! Great video and yes: We should always question us and professionals in order to improve and to make sure, that we are actually doing the right thing! Thumbs up!
And yet the only book that could change the world is Nietzsche’s Zarathustra, and it’s not on the list

I have been thinking a lot about this lately & have been asking people if it is me that isn`t articulating myself in a way that they understand. I keep being told, "no". Probably out of politeness, I`ll reserve judgement until I have more information.
Well... You did type "know" instead of "no." Maybe you are mixing up your homophones? 😅

Schopenhauer did not have a very positive view of women. He literally wrote the book on the subject. His opinions aged about as well as yogurt left in the sun. “Although women can have even more potential and more talent than man, they always lack in judgment.” Ouch.
If you are intellectually superior, the best thing to do is to avoid all people, at all times.
Gabor is just very wrong on this, as Marx was wrong.
Soo, what would be the right answer in your perspective?
And your argumentaion is ? Or are we in knee jerk reaction terratory ..Just offends our reality ,or feelings..
@@kevanbodsworth9868 There will soon be a video on my channel where I provide the reasoning.
@@kevanbodsworth9868 There will be a video on my channel shortly discussing my argument against Gabor's framing. To put it simply he adopts a completely black and white view of the situation, as if there are no positive factors or potentials in our society. It's absurd. It's all the fault of "society" or the "system." Are YOU alienated from nature? I am not. Are you having no relationships or connection? I have great relationships --- but Gabor says society doesn't allow that. According to him I must just be buying things all day, addicted to meth and not actually having a well connected and meaningful life. Guess I'll go and blame any of his buzzwords .... society, capitalism, other people who won't let me be my true self.
Thank you for your opinion. Those that are lost are because of the lies. When you tell people that everything good was discovered or created in Europe, Britain...you create a cognitive dissidence ...then you wonder why people are lost?
Marx was driven by the will to destroy. He was a satanist. “Till heart’s bewitched, till senses reel: With Satan I have struck my deal. He chalks the signs, beats time for me, I play the death march fast and free."
