End of Life Doula UK
United Kingdom
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 24 ต.ค. 2019
Doulas are the bookends of life - Just as a Birth Doula is there at the beginning, an End of Life Doula is there for the last part of life. Meaning that the final months, weeks or days are compassionate, calm and natural as can be. An End of Life Doula is there to support a person, and those that they love, with a terminal diagnosis. We work in the person’s home as well as Hospices, Hospitals and Care Homes. We are there for the frail, elderly and those living with dementia too.
Our non-medical role preserves the quality of wellbeing, sense of identity and self-worth from the moment we are called upon. We are there at any stage from the beginning when a person has received the news they have a life limiting illness through to the end, and beyond to funeral planning.
Living Well Dying Well training provides rigorous, certified, reflective learning for those who wish to become Doulas. End of Life Doula UK is the membership body supporting Doulas as they practice in Communities.

The more worn they are the more powerful they are. A beautiful image to contemplate.
A beautiful voice for the soul returning home I hope to be able to work with a Death Doula (angel) possibly in the spiritual aspect here in the US. The requirements are very strict here because of the legal aspects of the system, but the spiritual aspect needs no resume. I was with my dad, as well as my brothers for the final weeks of his passing and it is a heartbreaking healing that I am so grateful to have been a part of. Doula for the beginning and the ending of this journey
💖🙏🏼💖
Beautiful
what a beautiful thing to watch on my birthday!
I was there when my older sister took her last breath at 50. My other sister, her daughter, my cousin and all were all in the room stressing all day and 🪽Michele🪽couldn’t talk but she was stressed.. we all sat around her and just started reminiscing, laughing and crying.. she relaxed and knew we would be ok and one last breath. 🪽Michele Renee Metevia🪽🧡I have realized I have the gift of a death doula.
Every person just wants to be recognized as an Individual. I exist! ❤️
I am so looking forward to start my training! Thank you for this speech: essential and inspiring!
Beautiful video! Thank you to those that shared their journey. ❤
I’m just starting my certification for EOL Doula and this was very beautiful to watch, No greater love than being of service!
Awesome!! I’ll be starting my training in Jan 2023.
Amazing !!! I begin training in October to volonteer at a local hospice society. I think Iam going to head the same route as both you ladies ..much respect and blessings!!
@@beccastyverhow did the training go??
Im already a few seconds in and had to pause to tell you that I love this…as a fellow filmaker and caregt…your film is very thoughtful and well made
I am contemplating this as a career path. I volunteered in a Hospice center for a bit. I witnessed my dads passing f and it left me wishing for ‘more’ for everyone in his passing .. dealing with family members can be tense in these times .. I would love to help others in this meaningful way to be the one looking out for the greater good .. I found a free training - I’m going to explore it … see if it resonates.
Can you please share with me the free training you found?
I just started my certification and this is something that found me What free training did you find
Oh my goodness, this just shows how much compassionate end of life care is so damn important. I can’t wait to finally get into this field and support people in this way.
Beautiful✨
That’s how I see it. We come in. We go out. There is so much preparation for birth and celebration, why not for the going out also ♥️
What beautiful people
Quality not quantity
It might sound a bit dispassionate but the way I'd describe this conversation is comprehensively emotionally sensible.
Death, it comes to all of us. May we all be blessed with such people to surround us when it does. ❤
👌 Great work mate. You should use PromoSM.! ! It’s the best way to grow your channel quickly.
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful knowledge!! I am so grateful.
Well gee…I could’ve watched a whole hour of this! So beautifully done. Rest In Peace & thank you for sharing your journey with us to those shown in this doc💗🕊
I felt the peace also. This was very well done.
People should understand that you have to live in a certain type of country for these things, like his plan regarding his end, to actually matter to others.
Thank you
After helping my mother at her end I didn't know there was a way to help people without being a medical professional or religious. I hope I can help more people.
Thank you
I hate death. It’s just so tragic and sad 😪💔
It's just part of life, and who knows what happens after death, I'm not religious but I would like to think that there is another place.
So clear, so compassionate.
Absolutely soul touching and more deeply beautiful than I can describe in words💕🙏being a clairvoyant Empath and being able to see hearts and FEEL hearts I feel so drawn to this...💕🙏what a gift to be able to be here for the individual and the family💕💕
He’s a great teacher
Wonderful
Beautiful.
Thank you for posting this video. I hope to start my end of life doula training once the pandemic is over.
Beautiful. I think a death doula may be an emerging career for people. It can be comforting to have a companion a dying person can talk to about death and their feelings. I know there are birth doula’s so why not death doula’s?
It’s something I’m looking into..
I’m waiting for the corona virus to get under control then i will start my training.
Such a beautiful gift it is to be there for someone who is about to pass on.
I will be buying the book. Thank you!🙏🏻💕
The most important thing is to know when you die where will your soul go? That’s the planning we need to take care of. There is heaven and hell for eternity. For God so love the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes will not perish, but have ever lasting life. John 3:16 Jesus is the answer to a peaceful death.
We will never know what’s next until we do die. It’s always going to be a mystery.
Thanks so much lay for sharing your journey💗
Beautiful, such an important time of someone’s life. Thank you 💚
beautiful video … very moving ending.

The love throughout this film was palpable.
Thank you Jude
I feel the same. Yes, YES!
