I think off grid means different things to different people. To me off grid means not being physically connected to any main services, which we aren't. This makes us more reliant on ourselves. We're not actually registered at a doctors anywhere as we have no fixed address but we still have access to the NHS. It would be nice not to be connected to the Internet to completely un-plug but it's 2024 🤷‍♂️ and difficult to live without it.

She likes to live life on the edge 🤣😂 The locks were amazing and definitely worth a day out to go and see it all. Going to Crick is meant to be a right of passage for boaters but we've never been 🙈 the last couple of days have been a bit busy on the wayer with plenty of shiny boats passing us, presumably on their way to the show.

Thanks Christine, really enjoyed getting the drone back out last week. Now the nicer weather's back hopefully there'll be a few more drone shots. It's a very interesting place and I could easily loose a whole day up there just taking everything in 👍

😂🤣 I can try, but I'm making no promises. We don't even remember what bridge number the car is parked at let alone in what order they appeared when we filmed the previous week.

@@WilliamGladstoneNo91 🤣 when we use more than one camera to film, we use the canal map to keep it in sequence. We don't post online but we show to friends who like to follow the route

It definitely gets more confusing when you're filming on more than one device. We've got our camera, a phone each and the drone and they all have their own way of timestamps the video so getting them all in order while editing is nigh on impossible. I should probably do a bit of editing each evening, as we go, then it would be a bit easier, but for some reason I seem to like the challenge of trawling through a thousand clips of the previous week and trying to make a cohesive video out of it 🤣😂

Definitely wide enough to get 2 boats past. We didn't see the other boat till we were a good few minutes into the tunnel, so it would be near on impossible to see if there is any on coming traffic from the tunnel entrance. I don't know about "super fit" I just wont be as fat as I could've been... Our gym routine has definitely suffered while we've been travelling. I could quite happily sell the car tomorrow and live without it but when Emma has to go into the office she would struggle without it. Getting the work done on the boat in Long Eaton so we were always doing the Leicester line anyway 👍

Hey! Sorry I’m a bit slow at replying 🤦🏻‍♀️ my interests definitely do not involve engines and tools 😂 kitchen tools are my thing! I love cooking, I’m happiest pottering in my kitchen with an audio book on!! It’s my way of unwinding but when the weather is nice I’m happy watching the world go by at the boat with the husband 😀 I work from home, Anthony used to work but when we set off continuous cruising he gave up his job and got a new one, keeping me happy doing the chores (except cooking) and all things boaty! 😂 Without doubt I’m a dog person and my favourite kind of people are dog people! Domino we had from a pup, Sophie is a Romanian rescue, check out episode 6 for their life story! Sophie has had an interesting one! When the weather finally picks up I’ll be outside more, reacquaint myself with the tiller and do a bit of steering! 😂 Have a good weekend! x

The knife/scraper is pretty cool to be fair, its like a stress ball, I'm surprised I haven't worn the mechanism out yet.

🤷‍♂️ just going from the advice I was given from the guy who still makes these engines today (so technically manufacture specifications) Apparently everything was over spec'd. I understand the dangers hence why as soon as I spotted the dribble I got it sorted.

😂🤣 She was a bit noisy like. One night was all we needed and if we're honest we probably didn't even need that.... The hustle and bustle is not for us. Nothing wrong with being a geek 🤓 Dotty was strutting around the train station like she owned the place, I suppose a day out was a fair trade for having a free postal service for the last few months so we cant complain.... too much 😂🤣

Hi Christine 👋 Definitely not tired of my life, just tired of the life society tells us we should be living, which is just even more apparent in London. Your dad sound like he was a proper engineer I'm just playing at it. Would love a lathe and to be able to use it but apparently we dont have room for it on the boat 🤣😂 Dont get me started on the dog groomers again 🫣 I took Sophie on a run this morning and chucked her in the showe and she was washed and dried in 10 minutes.

I used to detest electric bikes and class it as cheating but I've got to admit I am starting to see some advantages with them as they kind of make the incommuteable, commutable. Whatever it is I think it needs to be foldable to take up a bit less space
