@@tm502010 first, it’s not 1958, second there is a lot of technology in this that isn’t in the original super Cub (mainly electronics), third, this is the same engine as a DAX, Grom, and monkey. Those aren’t cheap either this just comes with a territory in 2024. The C125 was never meant to be a cheap commuter bike. If someone is looking for a cheap 125, China is the way to go…. But you get what you pay for.

@ I personally wouldn’t. Smaller wheels, auto trans and similar price. That’s just me though.

Yeah it’s one of the downsides to working on the Cub. Not only do the tabs break but once you take the body panels off a few times, they aren’t as snug.

@@renna495 I am biased. But here’s what I think. Find a used one at a decent price so you don’t pay dealer fees. Test ride it. Walk away from anybody that doesn’t let you ride it first…. see how you like the shifting because it is a different than a regular motorcycle. @@Yoshi-Mooch this is actually some vary useful information, and I greatly appreciate you personally giving me you’re output on the topic and what to do on it, I was thinking about getting a rebel 500 to, but I enjoy the classy design and the fact that it’s simple to handle and maintain, a rear few content creators actually reach out a helping hand, so thank you for that.

@@renna495 No matter what you buy, with Honda you can’t miss. The rebel will no doubt get you further and faster than a Cub. I’m what you would call a “weekend warrior.” I only ride for fun and don’t commute on it, but that has more to do with the overpopulation of the place I lived in. I’m sure you could find a used rebel to try and ride as well. Post a reply when you get a new bike, we would love to know what you actually got!

@@MrJoeblofromidaho Try to get one used on Marketplace! There are MANY with under 1000 miles and people have realized they don’t want them so they are negotiable. Thanks for the comment. 🙏

@@nodoff what country are you in? It depends on the spline size. I’m almost positive it will fit and the reason I say that is because people have made hand shifters (“suicide shifters”) for the CT125 and they have fit the Cub no problem.

@@Yoshi-Mooch my first motorcycle when I was a kid was a Honda C70. Now I’ve come full circle and buy them when I see them on marketplace. My wife thinks I’m a little crazy but I can pick them up for the price of her haircut! I’m out of room now in the shed, but never say never. I keep checking marketplace. 😂

@@Brianshydroheaven I feel the same! Unfortunately, marketplace in the states has gotten RIDICULOUS with what people are asking. A vehicle I sold in 2001 for $500… The owner is now asking $5000 in worse condition!!
