8th Gen Civic Si Problems
มุมมอง 9376 ปีที่แล้ว
I bought this 2008 Honda Civic with damage to the Left side and undercarriage of the car. I took it to a shop to have it aligned. I was informed that there was frame damage and that I was unable to align it. I went to a collision repair shop that told me to replace everything which would cost apx. $2,500. I was expecting them to take it apart and find even more damage so I decided to do it myself.
2004 Camry Power Steering Hose Replacment
มุมมอง 83K6 ปีที่แล้ว
Hello everyone, I noticed I had dark power steering fluid when I checked my fluids. I assumed this was from a leak in the system. I found a leaking hose when I checked. The bottom of the power steering pump was covered in wet oil. I removed the hose and replaced it and doubled up on clamps to ensure a tight fit. Thanks for Watching. Not a Mustang guy but can pick up one with trans issue for $1500 pretty clean 140k just no where to work on it. It’s wetlands out here to soft for jack stands
Hey thanks for the video cuz I'm having the exact problem and I was thinking these were pressure hoses and I wasn't going to be able to do it myself saw this helps I have done a little mechanic work so I should be able to handle it thanks again
What is the hard line that is connected to the front left of transmission and how do we get that off
Those clamps won't work to well. You should have tried the other clamps that came with original. Compression clamps.
Is there a special way putting the converter bolts in
Dumb question from me but hear me out. If I were to do a PS delete, would I just loop those 2 lines back into eachother? Anyone know?
U suck take it to the dealership
Thank you your footage gave me the answer i thought the flywheel to crank bolts were left handed..in differential they are
Very helpful thanks
I think by mistake you add transmission fluid instead of power steering fluid, usually power steering fluid is clear color versus transmission fluid is red
Camrys of this age use transmission fluid as power steering fluid. Im not sure if current gen camrys do as well, but if you check the manual for the 02-06s, they use trans fluid in the power steering system
Subbed
Fucking napoleon dynamite narrating this
someone who doesnt seem to really know what hes doing should not be making videos
Use molded PS or ATF grade (SAE J189) 5/8" ID hose. Anyone using bulk heater hose in tight corners will have problems down the road. Not a bad idea to take this DIY down as it can steer people into more problems if they don't read comments to ovoid this pitfall.
Looking to rebuild my tr3650 in my 06 what kit do y’all recommend?
Dude the music, for fuck sakes.
there's better, more succinct and easier to follow vids regarding this issue. you'll find them.
U are the Mann thank you!!!
Attention every 3 valve owner always buy OEM throw out bearing/slave cylinder had my trans built to handle the power I was putting behind it went ahead and got a new throw out bearing (same brand as my clutch and flywheel) and I now have to take it all the way out again because it’s shorter than the oem one
Is it okay to use Preston’s power steering fluid for it even manual say use ATF dexron 2 or 3? I added in in blind thought it’s okay while there is a leak for temporary fix
Try to use atf transmission fluid for toyota camry power steering. If you were to use ps fluid at least use prestone power steering asian formula instead of the regular one
Did everything work out? lt looked like you were holding transmission fluid.
Good video!
Great job !
I know this is an old video but I’ve found it’s much easier just to pull the intake manifold off to get to the top bellhousing bolts. I’ve taken my manifold off so many times it only takes me about 15 min to pull it off and another 15 min to put it back on and with it off you can get the two top bellhousing bolts super easy with a ratchet or wrench
Not too late for me! About to do mine. Thanks for the tip!
@@Trinergy-Livewire if you have a ford racing manifold you don’t even have to pull the intake if you have a set of ratchet wrenches.
At 4:59, the big hose he's replacing is the low pressure supply line from the reservoir to the power steering pump, if it's anything like an '01 Lexus ES300 (which it probably is). The high-pressure hose comes off a banjo union (with integrated pressure sensor) on the top of the steering pump. The return line is part rubber hose and part hard metal tubing snaking below on the subframe and coming up around the radiator. (At least it is on the Lexus ES300.)
What is the part number for the o ring. Thanks
Thanks for the video brother. I'm not doing a tyranny oil change. I will just add some if needed.
My question is did it work did it catch oil cause it’s a long travel distance
10:00 Ever heard of a transmission jack? LOL
5:33 Literally step 1
4:30 Do you not know what a pull bar is?
Hi guys. I’m new here, and I tried the same method he did, and it worked; however, after a month I think the hose got twisted and no fluid was going through from the reservoir power steering. Is this okey? Or should I try to find the right piece( the one that has that spiral thing covered around the hose) Also is that hose he is replacing the low pressure hose? If you guys have any more information about the different types of hoses that I can learn, that will be very kind, thanks!!
Good job, thanks for your help!
Did you ever make any more progress on this build?
You saved me hundreds bro, Thank you so much!
Mine is 2005 V6 3.3L. Leaking power steering fluid. Plan to try some stop leak.
Get rid of that POS driveshaft. That damn this split at the carrier bearing and left me stranded. The aluminum one pice I have now is worth it
How long is the hose
From working in automotive mfg we always were told to slide the clamp until the bulge tip of the hosebarb stops it. Then tighten the clamp. Thanks I will take a look at that hose asap on my 03, I had to replace the lower return line that bolts to the A arm before the cooler tube return behind the rad. But this new one is hidden around the rack if not there.
Best to have been safe with chocks under the wheels.
Thank you so much for this. there aren't many solara how to videos out there.
How did you bleed the master cyl?
You can bleed it before you connect it back to the slave, check out tick Performance’s channel they did a whole video on it👍🏽
come back man :(
Thanks
Good effort. You should have ran all the fluid out of the car and flushing it with new fluid by disconnecting the return line, running the return line to a drain, plugging the return on the reservoir, filling with new fluid, and pumping it through till clean by turning the wheel lock to lock. You should use the right size hose that is designed to handle power steering fluid because heater hose may break down. Also, you should have used the hose protection wrap from the old hose so it doesn't get worn through by rubbing on something.
That is not a return line, that's a supply line.
What size is the jam nut??
Never put RP in a 3650. Sorry.
Where did you buy that master cylinder and what is the name of the master cylinder?
tickperformance.com, search for adjustable clutch master cylinder kit.
hey brotha could you make a video or tell me how to put the hood latch back on my hood wont close no more
