enjoy our visit to Canada
Should have turned off a little from Hahndorf and gone to Birdwood to visit the National Motor Museum. There's a massive number of rare motorcycles there.
I can only find up to episode 4. Have you edited any more, or are they still to come ?
Something i find annoying is when the music is A monotonous B keeps going up and down in volume. If your watching UT late at night on the TV your constantly chasing the volume so as not to wake up everyone else in the house.
Love the video mate! Subscribed 😀
U clown it’s border village 🤨
Have I caught up already??? Can't find Ep 5 or further..........
Sorry yet to do. Will get to it soon.
@@mickrides615 No problem. I appreciate the effort that goes in to doing these.......
Looking forward to this. I have the same Touratech outfit so keen to see how it fares - I love mine whether it be cold, hot or wet. What gloves do you use for wet weather? Cheers, Geoff
Australia. The land of a million signs telling you all the things you can’t do. They’re absolutely everywhere.
I ride push bike very fast weather permitting
Binge watching your series great stuff. For me which KTM performed the best ? 1190 or 790
Love the 790. Good power and balance on the road. Light and agile offroad. Feels like a 450 on the dirt with the low tank.
Enjoying this …..
Coffee machine is a must...priorities ! :)
sticks....pronounced ...please say it right..
I think you mean " Please say it correctly"!! Some people...

Have a great time. I’m home, catching up with all the chores. The trip got better and better. Wait for NT. Ride safe
Been waiting for this update. Trip all over by now. Tomorrow I'm leaving Brisbane for Maitland for the Postie National, on my Postie. Having fun with the drone.
Your trip must be over by now.
Hove you given up on the trip, or just not uploading new videos.
Just hard to get time to upload the videos. Up North was amazing. Mind blowing country. Stay tuned
@@mickrides615 good to hear
Great video, how do you find the screen at highway speeds?
Very good both on and off the road. Think its the best screen I have had on a bike
@@mickrides615 any wind hitting your shoulders?and what screen is it
Looks like it could be agood series, Can we lose the constant elevator music though please..
It's a long way to the warmth of the tropic in Queensland. Stay warm. In real time, where are you now.
Most interesting. For the benefit and education of we overseas heathen perhaps you could post a map with your route - that is a sheet of paper with a pic of Oz inscribed - no, not one you take down the garden to the dunny
Good call I forgot this time. Remembered it he first episode
thank you~how great trip! ))
Great footage! Already have a good handle on the drone. :)
Looks like it going to be a great trip. You will soon be a master drone operator. Your Mini 3 PRO might not be the best drone for this trip as it doesn't have a good FollowMe option. The Tracking mode leaves a lot to be desired when filming from a moving motorbike.
Great start, keep them coming👌👏
Looking good.
😭Not a Postie ride 😢, what are people going to talk to you about? Well, I hope you get plenty of time to fly your drone. Looking forward to more details and time table.
Bitter bitter disappointment you are not riding the mighty (little) Honda. No need to carry spares on a Honda. Chookas
After Tasmania I felt that 80Km/H max was a little too slow. Hondas in Vic so the possibility of riding home to WA is still an option. Be nice to ride at the speed of the roadtrain behind me!!
@@mickrides615 They still should get a good price if you want to sell them in Melbourne. Most new and secondhand bike prices have been going up.
That should a very safe trip unlike cycling across Nigeria to Cameroon haha 😅
Sure was. Motorists were very considerate. Far more so than in Australia
🙌🔥
Thank you for sharing your journey! I really enjoyed hosting you in Mississauga, and glad to see your trip ended well!
Your hospitality to a stranger will be with me for always, People opening up their homes and lives to me made the trip. Thank you so much.
What an amazing trip. What's after The Philippines trip.. Once had dream of crossing Canada from West to East. Now I just have to see Australia. I follow "The Sunday Ride" a Dutch guy on his way around the world.
Thanks for the feedback. Don't dream, Just do it. If you can peddle half a KM you can go around the world half a KM at a time.
Road kill ...since devil numbers smashed, no foxes or other large scavenger..the road kill remains remain visible on roadsides much longer than on north island. Very enjoyable vid.
Thanks Mick for another great episode. Really enjoyed it.
Another nice ride. Are you still down there, or is it an old recording.
Thanks for the feedback. Just back home. Takes a while to find the time to do the final edit on iMovie
@@mickrides615 Did you ride the 2 Posties back to Perth
@@3goldfinger Not that game. Left them in Victoria. Unsure what to do with them for now.
@@mickrides615 Dont know what to do with abandoned postie bikes? I can dispose of them for you for a very modest fee.......a chap has to chance his luck....??? Love your work.
How do you like the 600x? Looks great from what I can find out about it. Really liked your video. Take care
Thanks for the feedback. Loved the 600x, pinion gearbox and belt drive so good, (I would have gone through a set of sprockets and chain on this trip), no wear after 3500 km, no maintenance or mess. The bike is good, in some areas its built to a price, but that's not bad, good components that work, not the top bling. Only change I did was tubeless and thinner 42mm tyres (a great improvement) and the moloko handlebars (also great. Priority were very good to deal with.
@@mickrides615 ah great to know. Yes components seem solid from what I can tell, Yes they are a great help with questions I have. Thanks for the reply
As Mark Knopfler sang, Why Worry. How do you find the steering with all that weight on the front. I just made mounting brackets for front panniers for my CT110, as far as I know, nobody has done that before. It's better to spread the load, too many people put way too much weight on the back.
No problem, a bit of weight up front is needed to balance the rear weight. It always feels strange for the first hr after loading up a bike. Just a case of getting use to that sluggish wobble feeling. Then it becomes normal. 😊
Simp.
NYC is always a nice city. I hope to bike it this summer and hopefully 🤞🏼 do the Empire Trail from Buffalo to NYC (I may have to wait until retirement as the trip takes 10 days minimum). Thanks for a great video...I'm going to check out your other videos. Cheers from Canada! 🇦🇺🍻🇨🇦
Go for it sooner than later, Last year 4 of people I know my age (59) came down with terminal illness. That changed my mindset, more play now less work. I loved Canada
Heated hand grips are the best invention ever - highly recommend them to fix your frozen fingers 😊
Yup your right there, only so much I can add to the bike in the time we had.
Merry Christmas Michael ! And thanks for sharing your fabulous morning ride . Hope we get to see your wonderland someday too. 🤗
I hope so too!
That’s the bore field road not the strezi
Yea i I know got that one wrong
Hi Mike, To answer question in your video of webbing on a tree branch. We call them “TentCaterpillars”. They are voracious eaters of leafy things.
Thanks, I West Aust we get a spider that has a nest similar.
When was this. Nice ride. Did you follow Ed Prad.
Left New York July. Was August when on this leg. I just set my own route, getting advice from local cyclists along the way.
I'm originally from North West Tas haven't seen it in 10 years and miss Tasmania allot so thanks for your video.
It’s fabulous country. You must miss it. Back in Feb to ride more. Bikes now stored in Tas.
@@mickrides615 One day I'll be back , currently I'm riding around Thailand which is a dream. The roads here are world class
Love your work. What were your dates for Tassy ride? I was there late Oct early Nov ...it was WET but we didn't get any snow.
Was there November. Left the bikes there, returning mid Feb to carry on the ride. It’s cheaper to fly from WA than ferry twice.
Guessing you enjoyed November snow same days we had snow in Canberra. L
Are you on the original tyres?
Yup They work fine on road, mud and sand. I think with the size and the power of the bike there is not much need to be fussy about tyres. Next set will be different, probably 241’s
What brand of phone mount do you use?
Just an iPhone 11. Video put together on iMovie. I wanted to keep it simple. I see people who become a slave to the tech/battery’s etc or stop enjoying the trip because filming becomes such an issue.
