Actually, i often play with high panic... even it can turn to a true nightmare. Simply cause i like challenges... i often encountered the Leviathan on the open ocean, still he never ate my ship normally. Except when i once used the bannish ability, cause i wanted to try if it affect the Leviathan... well apparently it makes him kinda angry... well, i almost never use the manifestation to escape... but i have to admit that it looks pretty cool if the Leviathan does his insta kill animation, then the player uses manifest during the ship is between the jaws of the Leviathan. Sometimes i even follow this guy just for fun (but only on low panic like you said) then he really don't care about the ship at all, even if you annoy him by ramming into his fin, its pretty interesting to see how much panic changes the Gameplay actually. id say there's a couple sailfish spots close to the big island at pine point that are easy to raid and they make for great money, but that's just the Strat i implemented to catch the aberration

You can actually meet the leviathan outside of leaving the map and story endings if you have high panic while in "Open Ocean" regions of the map (near the oil rig as an example), it like other enemy encounters but is much more deadly. Fuck, my favorite experience is meeting the double leviathan

I really like seeing the Leviathan in comparison to the Marrows. In that boat, you don’t usually get to see the sheer size of these creatures unless you really think about it.

This doesnt help if you're getting the relics since to get almost max speed you have to do *a lot* of research, but if you have the engine stack and 3-4 single jets, you can haste across the pit without the kraken swatting you.

I've got 758% fishing speed. If you get a reel accelerator at the Oil Rig, it adds up 20% more speed to your current setting.

you could just start to sleep and then stop it after only 1 or 2 hours, that reduces the panic almost completely.

New challenge Quality control Quests can only be completed with trophy fish. And hooded figures/alters can only be completed with aberrant fish.
