Great timing - I just decided to try this yesterday! What are your thoughts on when to prioritize roads? I have been playing by using it off cooldown since it has stab reapplication and can also hit for brutality. Like at 23:40 you use vengeful hammers on push while on 26:39 you used roads. What criteria are you looking for when choosing?

staff has limited uses and low range, so for build with brutality is not best. hammer/sb, hammer/xsword, sb/xsword will work better for constant swaps, and if squad has more condi users condi weapons will work better. also sigil of celerity will be better on weapon with cc.

Guardian spear seems to be a good wvw commander weapon. Also the skill 1 is what the old Guardian staff was, so for me, thats a big win.

Revenant spear is awful it needs to be twice as fast. Last time scepter was also bad!

All Legendary's are a lot of work and expensive and now I hear that GW3 is in development. Damn if I will want to start over.

warrior spear needs a lot of work. awful damage, the 4 is very hard to land. enemies can just walk out of 5 with normal walk speed. it has 2 evades which is very good but it doesnt make up for the rest.

Ele spear 5 is unlocked even with auto-attacks, which is dangerous for WvW (projectiles). But, even then, you have to cast very quickly on all skills, because the 5 skills timeout so very fast.

Spear is Shortbow 2.0 lmfao deals hella low DPS on Condi Mechanist, Decent on Holosmith but Photon Forge did all the DPS not the spear

32:30 I've never heard you sound so casually disappointed XD I tried spear instead of staff on a Support FB. It felt better during combat but I missed the staff's utility.

This is a very strong and fun build, I used it a lot in the past in different squads and servers and I can confirm it's really great if played properly, it's also fun to see all the "meta groupies" dislike it just because they can't understand (and play) this build, good job! :D

Do you think guardian spear would be any good with cele FB? Also, why would it be unusable for power dps DH?

Warrior spear is the peak of negligent development by them and terrible balancing around skills with a counter-intuitive mechanic. As a WvW warrior main, I'm not gonna buy this expac even if they give busted damage to spear or slap 10 evades and make it obnoxious. Worst shit we got since Junksworn.

What would be a good duo to pair with this spec?

The problem is that DH dont have mantras and resistance. The elite mantra is a big stunbreak, and firebrand have alot resistance due to traits and book 3 skill 4, in this meta is very important, but good video, its nice to see some alternative builds, gj!

Earth/Water/Tempest with Staff and Karakosa is in a great spot now.....with Arcane Blast and Arcane Brilliance, Aftershock, and whatever....you can maintain 5k+ hp/s pretty easily and keep up or surpass cleanses of any other support. Plus it fixes Tempest biggest weakness, heals/etc tied to auras so no overflow healing.

I remember some people taking the aegis on trap trait with the aegis fragment trap which was a stunbreak too for the DH. But thats probably even more conditional.

Its fun but kinda situational atm. Was better in Power Meta imo

I know this is a bit of an older video now, but I've recently discovered that if I breakdown the ectoplasms, they often turn into 2-4 or 5 crystalize dust which sell for a fair bit more than the single ecto

I love this build and swop between this and cele renegade (alac) depending on what's needed. Never liked mace, so have been rocking sceptre for a while now. Interested in Tempest for next patch 😛

should i use the skill 4 on celestial or just spam skill 1?

How do I use greatsword as scourge, i cant seem to see the option :( or is it related to expansion?

I made a scrapper many motnths back but didn’t do much but max out weaponskith and get a whole set of berserker gear and said I’ll eventually put time into this class and here we are. Been mostly playing scrapper the past several weeks in various amounts of content and I love the fact you can have so many diff play styles with scrapper. Right now I’m mostly using hammer with wells gyros and I’m loving it but when it gets to be large amounts of enemy I’ll start spamming mines more often and switch to mortar. Mortar doesn’t seem too strong but when I get so many diff buffs constantly it makes mortar a easy safe thing to use. Also love the fact skill 5 keeps my group alive simply from 1 shot and I’m good to go. I’ll be playing scrapper for a good bit as I love it more and more I play. Maxed out mechanist skills which is cool but I don’t really care to much about it but now I need to finish holosmitj. The last several weeks I’m seeing a lot more holosmiths someone told me they got a change or buff idk

Can you use staff/staff for this one and use relic of the flock instead? If that so, which trait should be changed? Or not recommended at all? Thanks!

Retribution is better than invocation. More self sustain, extra barrier that is also a dark field, extra endurance and vigor, 100% self retribution. Can also tank.

Why wouldn't you run Nourys Relic if you're stripping so many boons? Both the sustain and the damage output are better, no?
