That 5kWh battery would probably be over 100lbs. Put it on wheels?

The AC500 does have quite a bit more surge capacity than the AC300. We would probably have to test it. Bring it over and we can try!

Good question. I'm using the same 30A setup as I had with the AC300, including connecting to the TT-30 outlet on the AC500. I literally unplugged the AC500 and dropped the AC500 in, including the same input power cord since they use the same connector. I am considering upgrading to 50A but don't really have the load to justify it. I am curious about 5000W wall charging though if I ever need to do that.

@@DougKremer so the TT-30 that's on their you wire that to the wires that come with the HI Kit, and when you plug the ac500 in it gives power to the panel to circuits you have installed on the transfer

This is exactly why I’m leaving it on the AC500 for a bit! To compare to the two B300. They drift wildly.

So far after 7 days the 300K BMS SOC is tracking near exactly with my reference sources, while the B300 are quite wildly different.

Good question. The comms features do let the batteries talk to the inverter for more than just sharing the State of Charge, which is difficult to guess based only on voltage. The batteries can also tell the inverter things like "hey slow down, I'm getting full".

In this video I have it connected to 1690W of panels. The open circuit volts must be under the listed input limit of 145 for the AC200L. I suggest staying 10% or more under to account for cold days. Available panel amps can be more than the 15A that the 200L will take, it will only pull what it needs if available. This practice is known as overpaneling and is very common.

@@complexr My B300 are not heated. There is another battery, the B300S, that is. Edit: the internal battery in the AC200L is not heated.

Wait a second part 2. of my question i asked wrong. When using an inverter generator for charging can i just plug the battery charger into the generator then to the battery or does it need something else?

My goal is to setup multiple LifP04 batteries in parallel to create a power bank to use in the winter to power a pellet stove overnight then charge the batteries during the day.

Inverter generators make AC power. Batteries are DC power. You will need a charger plugged into the generator to charge the batteries.

@@DougKremer Thanks for the response. I just looked at my generator there is a DC output but i think it would take a long time to charge the batteries vs. AC. Ok so i plug the charger straight into then generator then to the batteries. Can the batteries be charged while in parallel mode? If so 1 connector to the positive of 1 battery a negative to the the other battery?

Yes, my Honda has one of those also, it isn't regulated for voltage and is meant to trickle charge your car battery to get you going again, it is very slow and not a proper charger at all.

Oh, forgot to mention Solar and the power grid are of no options for me as i'm in heavy Tree coverage in wilderness.

Ok…. So 250W*15 hours is 8,250Wh. Add some conversion loss and “don’t run it completely flat” and you are at 10-12kWh of battery. The AC200L with two B300 is pretty close to that capacity and is hands-down the most efficient Bluetti with the most battery, good for low loads for long time. The AC300 and AC500 can be expanded more but are also larger inverters with more running loss.

@@DougKremer Ok great. Yeah the 15 hours is just a rough guess,I was just figuring 8 hours sleep time+- and some wake up time. The exact hours is just a honest guess. I just don't want the stove shutting off during the night and freezing while i'm trying to organize Re-recharging the batteries and starting up the generator to power the stove and start Re-charging while having the morning coffee etc. lol I absolutely love your informative videos and i'm trying to make my very difficult situation as flawless as possible. Thank you so much. I try to be real world use and testing. Others do the laboratory numbers. I do think a 200L as I show it here would treat you well. Point of awareness is the charging speed and standard 15A cord. If you step up to an AC300 or 500 you can get an optional cord to charge at 30A or more if your generator (hopefully inverter) can supply that. My Honda here is a good match for the 200L, it would take about 5 hours to recharge it and the two batteries with no other loads attached.

My suggestion would depend on the power and amps that you intend to connect. The 200L is capable of drawing up to 15A if your array can make that much, for which I would suggest #10/10ga MC4 extension leads.

I have 2 Bluetti SP200L panels (Total 400w). I plan to hook up in series. Is the cable you suggested good for this setup?

@richardduranko7629 A search of Amazon or similar for "10awg mc4 30" should give you lots of options. I bought BougeRV connectors and cable and manufactured my own. They are known reputable.

Yes, the 30A input cord for the AC300 (and now AC500) is on its own 30A breaker in the panel.

Available amps are fine, the controller/power station will only take what it is capable of. The problem with this combination is the SP039 has open circuit voltage of 52.8V, which is more than the 50V max of your device and could cause damage.
