They are “glyphs” and as you see, have different effects. I also can’t right click to see individual effects, but several dungeons will have their own effect. They are generally on the outside of the arena to make getting cornered scarier to dissuade camping slightly. If you step on one you can see the effect it applies to you. Those give you your answers. Trial and error. Maybe one day I’ll document them all.

For sure. My thing is, my goal is to help brand new players and keep the community growing by giving them the resources for the things that aren’t explained well in the game, leading to confusion and quitting. I want this game to thrive and this is my own way of contributing to the community. By the time that the question is asked, they are enjoying the game and progressing far and are hooked. But TL;DR: soon™️

Most of these are upgraded through either equipment, or through enchantment slots. We’ll be diving into enchantment slots next video.

@@Popsvoice yeah they were reworked to no longer use control. Control is being phased out as a stat, once Sram gets touched control will have 0 use cases.

@@jaredh923 there’s still PvP with the statues, and endgame only gets more content with every update. Most MMOs aren’t PvP focused, most MMOs focus is on endgame gear improvements, getting money, and doing pvm content. There’s leaderboards, and this MMO has the bonus of the Modulation system, meaning you aren’t only working to optimize endgame gear, you’re optimizing for every level grouping in the game.

It's funny you say that, I only started playing a bit before I made that first video, when Ogrest was made! I played the first beta when I was a kid, but never got very far. Thank you, I hope to make more, and eventually work up to late-game topics and dungeon specific guides!

That’s fantastic! I think it’s a great game for experience and new gamers. The turn based combat allows new players to consider their options without worrying about real time combat things such as dodging, and experienced gamers can delve really deep into the strategy. I hope you guys have fun and stick with it!!

I think of these videos as a resource to keep the new players around. I think the best way to grow the audience is playing the game, and telling your friends, people on reddit or twitter, anybody that will listen. I believe in this game, I think it's beautiful with most unique gameplay of any MMO, even compared to Dofus. The speed of the combat even though it's turn based, the combos characters can perform, the ecosystems, the quests, Mod'Ule dailies, guilds, politics... This game has it all, besides the people that haven't tried it yet.

@@saigai5170 I can give you the guide right now. Find the cheapest thing to make that requires the least amount of resources but still gives decent exp. Either mats that are cheap and you can buy a lot of, or something that’s easy to farm/mine a lot of. It’s tedious ngl, especially for professions you can’t do in the haven bag. But just gather a ton of the materials you need while just watching TH-cam or a movie on the side. Eventually, just go craft a metric ton of trash to get the exp and possibly sell those (or salvage them for shards/powder).

@@pleisha I believe the story has a conclusion, at least the Mount Zinit portion. You don’t have to pay to access any part of the game anymore, it is 100% free to play if you choose. Paying for the booster grants 2x exp for your character and professions, bonus exp for new characters, and some other perks. Its free if you don’t care for the benefits, but the game is structured assuming you pay for the booster, so leveling will likely be a chore if you are free to play.

@@aminemessak5749 Elio because I’m biased and love Elio. Very good in rifts solo or duo, good in group play. Outputs a lot of dps and survivable through mobility. Fairly straightforward but with room for creativity. Xelor is very powerful, outputting insane damage, had decent mobility, and AP reduction is always nice. Very deep and nuanced class. Hupper has decent mobility, lots of nuance, and basically is always useful for damage no matter the mechanics. Very good in PvP if that’s your thing, I’m not sure about rifts though.

It’s not something that’s currently on my to-do list, my videos are geared towards beginners and PvP is not beginner friendly at all. Most people that PvP are level 230 with optimized gear. Elio I think is okay in group pvp, but not particularly great at it, but my experience is very limited.

Oh wow, I just tested this in game. I haven’t got a clue why that happens, but it’s also happening to me. It’s likely just a bug, and there’s unfortunately not much we can do about it.

@@aminemessak5749 I’d only really be able to do a tierlist for beginners, like what characters are fun to start with and level up, I haven’t reached end-game myself so I’m not the most educated to give my opinions. I think Xelors are best class in the game for what it’s worth though. Eca a close second.

@@Popsvoice how about elio and hupper? what are ur thoughts on these classes especially in monoservers.

@@aminemessak5749 Elio is really good on mono. Good in groups and can solo rifts really well. Hupper is fantastic at PvP, I’m not positive about solo play, and in groups can output a ton of damage per turn.

And if you're lucky, you might even drop a pet on some mob. I dropped i think 3 chachas fighting chachas. I dropped some skeleton legs in a breach and a fisher dog in another one. (A bit useless to me though since i don’t farm fish)

Working in it! Script is recorded, working on animations now which is very time consuming but I think is the best way to demonstrate a lot of points

@@SquidMagic ahhh that one is difficult as I haven’t played many classes, BUT I’m definitely looking to at least cover Eliotrope. Maybe more, but they wouldn’t be as in depth, as I’d be learning from a French guide and making it into digestible English.

@@pedrobarea6791 so there’s not a ton to talk about there because in most content you just need a tank like Sacrier a damage characters and a support character. Any combo of those can likely get through 99% of content assuming you have proper gear and know how to play them. It’d probably be something I could cover in a class of overview video?

Server: I recommend Ogrest, and I recommend any class. Fun > Power atm, take your time to fall in love with the game and find the class for you. Some characters are intricate combo machines and some are point and click adventures. Other servers you are expected to have the booster to be able to run multiple characters (your own party) I recommend to at least get the booster (after you feel solid about the game), because even in mono account, the exp rate is balanced around the booster, so your progression can get even more grindy than it already is, which leads to quick burn out.

@@Popsvoice oh thanks, well i'm confused and i often jump between classes, i already have a solid idea about what every class does, i just want to know about ur suggestions since they'll make me stick into one character for some time or maybe for all the time until i get the feeling of the game, i tend to jump between classing having that FOMO x) appreciate ur help, please keep making guides

@@aminemessak5749 my bias is Elio, I think it strikes a great balance of depth and creativity with being straightforward and easy to understand at face value. Melee and Ranged builds exist, the class is amazingly set up to do good damage (not as much as the best classes in the game but, eh) while being very mobile and versatile. Support Elio is also an option but I’ve never tried it.

​@@aminemessak5749 As far as I know, Ouginak tops leaderboards by themselves (S10 Dungeons solo), Xelor is best damage per turn (dpt), Eni is great, Eca is fantastic single target dpt. That's my rough understanding from French content.

Was PVP removed in an update? Looking through changelogs I might be missing something. The English player base on Ogrest is still alive, and I'm hoping through this series, more English speaking players give Wakfu a shot.
