Chase Bliss MooD MKI vs MKII comparison
มุมมอง 2.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Hey Guys, just felt like doing a quick (not planned)video playing the MKI and MKII against each other. Quite a difference huh? Sorry for the slow video, and just did it with my phone! 1966 Fender Jaguar into a 1956 Fender Harvard. Let me know in the comments what you think.
Chase Bliss MooD MK 2 first sound sample
มุมมอง 875ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Guys, just wanted to make a quick video! Got the MooD mk II in the mail Yesterday! Thought I would let you hear it, right out of the box. It’s a different monster than the mk1! Still the same, but much more flexibility! Playing through my ‘56 Fender Harvard and my cobber Jerry Jones shorthorn 3pu. A hint of reverb from the Strymon Flint and a squirt of Vibrato from the Behringer VB-2 clone!...
Dallas Rangemaster - One of the rarest "pedals" in the world
มุมมอง 4.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a short demo of one of the rarest and most mythical overdrives from the sixties. This unit was purchased from the original owner, who had sailed around the world with it, plugged into an old transistor radio. It's a jangly loud sounding box. Probably insanely loud without the OX. Again.. I'm Danish, my English is not the best, but hopefully the message gets trough. Gear in this video: 1...
How I like to use the Red Panda Lab Tensor
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A few thoughts and a play on the Tensor, comment if you like it! Sorry for my glitchy Danglish,(Danish/English), I'll try to be better, so if I'm not understandable, just ask. All the best, Rasmus

The circuit of the RM is soooo incredibly simple. Everyone knowing how to solder can build it within one or 2 hours (without case, and assuming parts available already.) But simple does not mean bad. Just means I would not spend $$$.
No, the curcuit isn't wort that kind of money, but the Dallas Rangermaster is. I got this as a gift, so I'm blessed having it.
Thank you❤
Sometimes glitches and jumping values are caused by a loose ribbon connector inside - it's pretty easy to open it up and wiggle the connector a bit. Reparied mine two times this way - the ribbon cable gets loose after a while.
Interesting! I don’t have the pedal anymore, but I think my psu was the problem. It couldn’t deliver enough mA on 12v.
Should I get the tensor?
hard to say? What are you looking for?!?
@ well I’ve had the tensor and loved it. But can the MOOD do everything the tensor can and more?
Hmm, I’ve always seen them as different animals. The mood has the slip function, that in some ways are similar to the Tensor, but the tensor is just something else. I like to use them in conjunction, with the Tensor first in the signal chain, and the Mood later.
I really like the idea of 'tuning' the pedal. This pedal does other amazing things if you add the expression pedal to it. Like you can create a loop and with the pedal heal down the loop doesn't go through the signal but it's sill there when you go toe down with the pedal.
interesting!! I never had an expression connected, because I use the 4 knob "preset" extension. Red Panda call it the Remote 4.
Thanks, this is cool. What allows you to set presets?
Do you know which transistor is in your TB? .. I'm guessing it's the Oc44
@@JheridanSoe I Think it is! I just found a photo I found of the guts, and all I can see is “OC” but of my memory works its the oc44
@Marylandmusicdk cool, thanks. It sounds like an Oc44. I'm undecided about which model to get,oc44 or oc71. 44 might be the way to go. Great video, thanks 👍
Interesting. I think I am going to track down a version 1 before getting a v2. It has a lot of the qualities of the 16 second delay or a digitdch prs20/20 that has been tweaked that I’ve been looking for in something a little more robust than either of those pedals. And my older Maneco’s are on the verge of falling apart. I wish I could try another 16 second to judge how bad of shape mine truly is in but I doubt that will ever happen. It’s the only one I’ve seen for sale in my life.
In the late 80s/early 90s in the London suburbs you used to see a few of these for sale. Brought mine in 91. At the time people wanted TubeScreamers for pushing amps into drive. I always find dropping your guitar volume a bit gives great dynamic results.
The first really innteresting video about this pedal on youtube. Thanks !!
Thanks man!!
Clear and concise explanation, and with NXT mode! Great playing. Thank you.
Thanks John! I recently found out, that some of the Tensor Versions are capable of looping twice as long with the new update! Just a hint.
One of rhe dip switches on the MkII turns it to MkI mode. I bet they are alnist identical in that mode...
I’ll take that bet! I knew that, when I bought the mk2, but I don’t think it sounds the same in classic mode. 🤷♂️
great playing and killer demo!! thanks for posting
Do you like the MkI or MkII better?
Hi Brian! At first I was a little bit disappointed with the MKII, but it does something different. I think my expectations to it was different. In my head I thought it would do everything the MK1 does, just better with upgraded features. But it's more like it does its own thing! As an example the quality of the delays and reverb is much "better" on the MK2, but I really like how the Reverb sounds on the MK1. Maybe some of it can be fixed with the secondary Tone-knob, but I don't know. Before I go on forever ranting about what I like about the one pedal, and not the other, and vice versa. If I had the sound of the MK1 with the extended loop time, minus the clock noise on the MK1. It would be awesome. But it's kind of like with guitars. People often ask me, "what's your best guitar, or what's your favorite one".... And there is a simple answer to that. The One I use. I can't have more than 1-2 guitars in rotation, at a time. The time you put into the instrument, is what gives you joy. That's how it is for me. So to me it really doesn't matter which Mood I'll use, I'll adjust to the capabilities of the pedal. They are both very inspiring. It was Initially Nels Cline who told me about the MooD, after a Wilco Show in Copenhagen. After I had been questioning him about the 16 second delay. He told me he had spent 14 days playing the mood every night, and he didn't quite figure out what everything did. That was intriguing to me. :) Sorry about the rant.
Excellent and thank you for sharing 👍
Thank you for sharing, I just ordered this pedal and I’m looking forward to trying these
dont do what i have done and wasted it by using it just as a whammy. there is a universe in this thing
Dano > duo = frying pan > fire
Imagine what hendrix would have done with these pedals 😊
Or Pink Floyd
😍
I made the mine just from scratch and a vintage RU GT308 PNP, sounds amazing
Happy to hear! I made a kit years ago, it doesnt’ work well. 😮💨
@@Marylandmusicdk I've even etched my board with cleanner and H2O2
Does it give You extra clean headroom🖖?
@@Marylandmusicdk I put a switch to select the input cap at the back side, with 15nF the headroom is really good. For the enclosure I used a small box I found at work burried in the ground. I cleanned, painted an put some rangemaster stikers to make it look like the real one.. ..looks great
Wow, immense
Your English is probably better than a lot of English people these days lol
You’re making cool vibes. Desolate but warm
Your English is WAY better than my Danish. You shouldn't apologise!
Is this a mono pedal?
It is
@@Marylandmusicdk Really sorry to contradict you, but it's a stereo pedal, with TRS jacks.
@@michelcamus8288 you’re right! Some of the early ones where mono input, but this is actually stereo with TRS. 🤘🙌
Latest firmware updates it to stereo. You can control it when you connect it to USB
The loops are half as long in stereo, which is fairly severe, but definitely still usable, and maybe a good limitation. Serial numbers before, I think 67000 have half the loop length of those from that onward.
The sound of rock and roll
Pop that shit in a VOX AC30 and crank it boiiiii
JAZZMASTER w rangemaster maxed sounded the best for sure
Fantastic video, great playing and really interesting use of the Tensor. I bought a Tensor 2 years ago and have not found the time to have at it. Something tells its coming out of the box this week! UPDATE: tried these settings out and they are currently my hands-down go to settings with this veritable pandora's box.
just saw this! thank you! glad I could help you get inspired!
Kul 🎸👍
Personligt & bra 👍
Nice demo! It is a simple but amazing treble booster.
Great setting. It's definitely a great pedal with many possibilities.
Thank you. Wonderful musical ideas in your playing.🙌🙌🙌 This pedal is at the top of my watchlist as is the Drolo Stamme(n). Both seem to have a substantial learning curve and this exposition helps greatly.
Bravo. Thank you. A fine traveling song--inspires a cold western misty dusty dawn/dusk
Sounds great. Been fighting my GAS with Red Panda and you're not helping sir! ;)
Which Danelectro is that?
It’s actually a Jerry Jones Shorthorn!
Some of the quick spiralling up sounds make me think of the intro to Mojo Pin by Jeff Buckley
I take that as a big compliment! I'm a big Jeff Buckley fan! I didn't have that in mind making the video though!
Thanks for sharing...thats a cool settings for tensor 😊
Beautiful playing, and a great showcase of this pedal. Also your English is solid, no need to worry there
Don't worry, your English is very clear, even for a Frenchman, and the way you are using your Tensor is very inspiring ! Congratulations
Thank You very much!
great job playing to the effect. lots of folks play AT their effects but this feels more like playing to it, finding phrases that allow the effect to breathe. Nice work!
Thank you very much! It’s almost like an instrument on its own! 🙌🥳
I’m glad I caught your video. I just found the exact thing on my Tensor by tuning it using speed while pitched up. Totally different sound! This is one of those pedals that I can’t seem to get rid of because it continues to bring out new sounds and uses
Hi Hogan! I’m so glad you found it. Just trying to share my joy of the pedal! Cheers!
Nice hat :D
Custom made for me.
