Nick I don’t know if you remember my original comments from a few months ago. I finally had some luck yesterday and caught my first pike! Wasn’t massive but it was an incredible fight. I took your tips and kept casting some downed trees and finally it came and bit right by the bank! Thanks for your insight and I love the content never stop. Such a positive experience for your boy! Congrats to him on the new PB!

What part of the Des Plaines River is that?

Hey Nick I’m a fellow Illinois angler binge watching some of your videos old and new. I’m so intrigued with pike and have targeted them recently with no luck. I feel I might be too late in the year but haven’t given up hope. Any spots you know of in the Joliet area potentially holding pike?

Love all your videos but especially love your river videos. I started pikin a few years ago on the river, and have branched out since like it seems you have too, but its great seeing you out exploring the good ol DPR Jungle. I also got my first gar last year too, I was pumped 😂🔥

Dang thats crazy, I've seen a decent amount of gar in the river over the years but they all look to be about a tenth of the size of the one you caught 😅 so I don't know how to catch em but I always see them splashing out in the summertime.
