Wondering how this compares to the PMA-3000ne?

20 years a ago, I had the PMA 2000 Mk4 with large tower speakers - bold, big sound. Now, my current rig consists of 2 standmounts and 2 active subs - the PMA-A110 (and this is true for the new 3000) does not have at least one preout or even better, 2 dedicated subouts which sidelines the amp for me at this point in time...

No bi-wire option.

I am happy with a 5.1 setup from Marantz Cinema 70s, not bothered about Atmos

I've found Atmos is very situational. I only use it if the mix was designed for it and never upmix or convert (Direct only). Current Xbox and Playstation games really show the positional audio well in newer games (lookup Sony Tempest audio). Also I believe the guidance from Dolby is to use spacial cues sparingly for film - screen and center channel are focus - and use the obvious Atmos effects like how Christopher Nolan will swap to fuller frame during dramatic scenes Edit : I have never been able to install in wall or acoustic panels so I have seperate reflective height speakers. I have moved several times and even with automatic room corrections, the biggest factor is the room itself

I have Yamaha and I thought the problem was in the hook up or the surround sound channel that I was using,but I found out that the recordings were making the difference, especially older ones… so I bought Blu-ray and🤗😎

I want this amp only because it's the anniversary edition .. currently I have the PMA 1600NE a very very powerful amp the only thing, it's just not clear enough, I feel like it's a beginners amp for audiophile

Simple. Denon have carved themselves into budget Audio. This means no self respecting Audiophile, apart from Tharbamar, would spend serious money on the brand and then proudly announce they use Denon. They probably doing themselves a disfavour but Audiophile snobbery is alive.

I don’t understand why Denon corporation has so far produced all amplifiers classified as hi-fi not hi-end devices although they could fabricate hi-end amps like other big companies from The USA, Europe, United Kingdom, or their Japanese country fellows like Accuphase, Luxman,…

I have a modest Denon amplifier and CD player paired with German Heco floorstanding speakers, and my system suits my taste so much, that I wouldn't change anything on it. I don't even use the tone controls, it sounds perfect the way it is. By the way, your English is good, if I ever want to buy a house, I might contact you 🙂

People aren’t talking about it because of the snobbery around hifi. It either has usually to be British or American but Japanese companies are working hard behind the scenes to produce absolutely world class equipment and reasonable price levels that only bespoke cottage industry brands could ever dream of. I have the DCD-A110 and it's absolutely first class, I’ve already stocked up on laser mechs and even vfd's just incase. I wouldn’t go back to British kit nowadays after owning top need models from the likes of Yamaha and Denon. Superb kit.

I've had this amp for 2 years now and it's my best investment ever. Love the sound and built. I paired it with Monitor Audio Silver 300 7G speakers and I really enjoy every moment with it. Love this system!

Hi Dave. Lovely amplifier, however, the lack of PRE OUT and SUB OUT seems like a MAJOR oversight and must be costing Denon sales. Let's hope the mark two version has them.....

One thing I'm curious about, is how deep the bass feels, and how punchy the sound is... For instance, would I feel the kick of a drum in my chest?
