Boards of Canada - Echus [cover]

I took the time to recreate the beautiful synth and chords of the track Echus. I tried my best to get all the notes right, but it was tough so there might be missing something. Flac: www.dropbox.com/s/1hvrs7n2wjq3w3h/Echus.flac?dl=0 Mp3: www.dropbox.com/s/j8wru911bx5le6m/Echus cover.mp3?dl=0
This is just unreal man. I would have never guessed it’s been recreated from scratch. Damn great job! Thank you so much!
So nostalgic. There isn’t a more cosmic track than this. I feel pure oneness and emptiness when listening.
almost sounds like if boc cleared the track up for a studio release, great job! Thinking about that it would be pretty cool to see this in their next album if we ever get it, just another 11 years don't worry
Am I the only one who cannot really share this kind of music taste with anyone but the people on comments? People around me cannot really understand the feelings that BoC produces on me...
so beautiful ❤❤
i have a feeling track 9 is sped up, due to how high the strings are, and how unnatural it sounds though I don't have any experience for such instrument so, idk
youre awesome.
Track 2 has the same melody as the interlude of Satellite Anthem Icarus

Track 4: Big City Orchestra - Undecided (2005)
How did you find it? Congrats btw.
@@samuel-reposts Audiotag, but i guess it was added not too long ago
03:23 is so beautiful. this song makes me calm down easily, been struggling mentally for over a year now. my only peace is music.
3:23 That moment of pure clarity 😩
Where are the visuals from?
an appearance is just what's happening
Is track 4 composed of drums or is it the end loop when a vinyl side has finished playing?
This was even better than the origional.
Amazing. This i think captures all it was meant to be.
Geniunely amazed lol, listening to this side by side with the live recording I can't tell the difference Thank you
Thank you so much for this. Love u
beautiful cover, tysm
What synth did you use for this? You recreated it perfectly by the way.
This is the most niche cover of all time and I'm here for it. I probably count for 100 listens of it
Captured that warm sound and feeling of a BoC song that the fans are looking for. Well done. This might be one of my favourite tracks from them. I cried :,) Peace and love everyone !
love it
I'm convinced track two is the ending to 'to here knows when' off the tremolo ep, just played backwards and pitched down
I just tested this by doin what u said and it definitely is
i think this could be the most faithful coves of a song ive ever heard, perfectly conveys the emotion of the track. Beautifully done, you're incredibly talented
100/10 experience with speaker and subwoofer
if anyone ever finds track 2 will someone let me know

@@jonathanwinchell5995 Nope. That's just a song that sampled this snippet. It's not the actual song

Cheers
I don’t know but Track 2 gives me the feeling that it was used as a funeral/burial music, the vibe that this song brings is like a crowded wake, in silence and playing this song depressingly.
It has THE most my bloody valentine sound to it. It has to be them
Very well done. Thank you. By the way: does anyone know how we have the name of this track in the first place?
The track title was credited in the All Tomorrow's Parties documentary.
This represents the truth.. blissful euphoric mystical infinity..
First off I agree with everything everyone has said below me! Thank you!!!!! But I will also say that I equally love the original audio chatter with lower quality, I find it also adds to a sort of BoC-ness. Maybe it's because I've listened to it so much and have grown with it over the years? But this is equally as good and was also very much needed. Thank you for doing God's work!
This is like the happy version of that shoegaze track from Societas X Tape
Someone who rues the whirl
Rediscovering the spirit of youthful religious ecstasy and peace in this sonic collection felt as a film of familiarity to reconnect to that distant time before the world corrupted and forced reinterpretation of goodness spoon fed as undercover ignorance to reality’s busting of any youthful view where the colors were brighter and eyes were more sensitive to light. Digging up a spiritual time capsule of faith in goodness because somehow that’s the only place it exists: in a past version of spiritual awareness. Not cynical but thankful for the trip back through the dream to visit something barely describable.
VERY WELL DONE - thank you
Compliments! 😎
I feel like the original tape was a slight remix; because different instruments kick in at the beginning. And is it just me, or does this version sound more deteriorated than the original tape found?
Especially 2:34
I found this on soulseek back then. The instruments in the beginning are from Soul City Orchestra - Hot Day in Pimba. BoC took the song directly from a mix by vinylfactory.
That mix had both of those tracks.
