Not working there's something wrong
Be sure the layer is turned on and not frozen in the viewport. Other than that, check that you are zoomed into the area with some drawing.
I just bought one from Temu with stand, little roll of wire and 5 extra tips for under $12.00. Thanks for the tutorial.
Glad to help!
My meter beeps measuring between C-E in bith ways with a BC557 PNP its fried light?
A beep typically means that it is a short circuit. Sounds like it is dead. It will likely beep in the other direction as well (E-C).
Operasion amplifier?
Definitely plan to do that. Have been working on the script. I just need some free time. 😅
Hi, do you recomend any hot air station under $100, i was looking at a yihua 959 hot air station, is the most "budget" i could find, thanks!
The 858 has been serving me well. I have 2 from different manufacturers, and they both work well.
Hi do you have link for that solder paste cause the one that i have always have balls laying around after
Here you go. www.digikey.ca/en/products/detail/chip-quik-inc/TS391SNL/7802215
👍👍👍👍
😊 thanks
Thanks
You are welcome. 👍
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!
I'm glad to help. Thanks for the comments 🙂
Awesome
Thanks.
Excelent tutorial, I wonder if could be possible to create in Proteus a trace with 2 different widths. I have seen this kind of trace in Altrium PCB layout. It was used in Arduino Pro Mini PCB design in the zone the trace has to pass between 2 pads of the Atmega328p tqfp32 corners (there the trace is width decreased to prevent too close distance when pass between 2 corner 45° pads). I could not find the way in Proteus and I personally prefer it (much more intuitive and friendly) to Altrium
You can. It can be done manually, or you can use room mode. This typically just relaxes the minimums, but we can check if we can see if the maximum can also be manipulated.
Thanks, I will give It a try.
Thx I was looking for thjs
I'm glad I was able to help ☺️
NOPE DONT WORK
I wonder why? Be sure that, even though you are in the layout tab, you have selected paper space and that your tile block is also there. Lastly, be sure your current layer is turned on. I hope this helps.
This is of real help. Thank you for the video.
I'm glad to be of assistance. 😉
thank u so much :)
I'm glad to help. 😀 thank you for your comments.
Perhaps you could answer this question for me. If I have a 1000uf 200v capacitor and am trying to make a discharge resistor for it, what value is the resistor so that it doesn't take too long but also doesn't create a spark?
how do i connect a trace to circular smt without violating drc ? i want to make capacitive touch.
You need to use the pad to make a custom part. Use the part in your schematic, and then it is connected to a net. Hope this helps.
correct name of the video is "Make a new custom Not_a_Part"... :) Thank you for the lesson!
😄 good point! Thanks for the comment 👍

You are welcome. So much they could do with this, but it has always been a simple tool. Thanks for the comment.
thx.

I got chip quik smd291ax and ts391ax (no refrigerator needed) because they seemed like the best options for resin flux instead of rosin. Did i pick wrong? Is there a reason you use the rosin based one you use? Better with the no lead solder? I have a el cheapo hot air gun i just got for now to learn.
I use led free because I have my children in my lab all the time, and I do not want to expose them. Cheep is good for learning and TBH, mine is still going after years of use.
thank you
You are welcome 😊

@@ScottCard can you tell me how to add test points because I don't find in protues 8.9

Would be good, but for speed and ease.
😢that is one of the industrial wastes made in China, i have bought three similar products, they all broke within one or two days. Problems with product design and low quality components, ,😢😅
Well, it is true you get what you pay for but... the tool you have is better than none at all. If you need somewhere to start or you are under financial pressure, this is great.
Thank you very much sir! 🙏 Bless you sir❤

Hi can you help me In choosing a Bench multimeter in the past and in the future I repair a lot of Xbox one x and other ones and also in the future I want to be able to repair amplifiers AV amplifiers and tube Amplifiers all things like that can you recommend a around good desk top multimeter which is not too dear something around £100 to £300 it would help me so much thanks mark
The Rigol units would fit the bill. A 5 or 5.5 digital is likely more than enough for this work. Keep an eye open on the used market as well. Just be sure that you get something that can be calibrated. Thanks for the question, and I hope this helps.
@@ScottCard can you give me a link to this multimeter benchtop thanks mark
Thankyou so much!!
You ate very welcome.
Thanks
Welcome. I'm glad I could help.
Can I just add a footprint in software parts ?
I am not sure what you mean. You can add footprints to schematic parts.
Thanks man!
You are welcome. Thanks for the comment 👍

Thanks! Appreciate the feed back ;)
Hey ..my icon for the packaging tool is unclickable..I have no idea why
Be sure to select the part first. This should enable the package tool button.
Great tutorial, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
I just cannot seem to adjust the size or the contents of the Header box. Been hours trying to work that out. This is absolutely horrible software. Back to Diptrace for me.
It does take a little getting used to. Be sure that you are in the Master sheet, but you can not stretch or resize it. Instead you need to make a new title block for each size. Not ideal but it works.
when i click on microchip embedded there is no option such as standalone project
That is odd. Not sure why it is not in the list of options. Sorry.
Suggestions what temp to start the air at?
About 375C.
@@ScottCard I'm having an issue where the paste is just drying instead of melting. I have tried lower and higher heats. It's not expired, but I'm guessing it's bad somehow. Any brand suggestions? Thoughts on the low temp bismuth stuff? Thanks!
@emf9 Well, it's normal for the flux to evaporate, but just keep the heat on it for a little longer. You should check the data sheet for the solder to be sure, but maybe 400C is required. I use MG Chemicals and Cipquick brands. Hope this helps.
@@ScottCard thanks!
How do you prevent or ensure you don't get a bridge under such a small component of the solder paste is completely under the component?
Definitely need to be mindful not to get too much solder, but it has not been a problem for me yet. The surface tension tends to make it pool on each terminal. Thanks for the comment.
@@ScottCard thanks for the info. I'm just learning to hot air and was worrying about that. Particularly since you can't see it
You will get the feel for it. A little too much is not a problem. The biggest trick is to keep the air speed low so you do not blow the parts off the PCB. 😉
@@ScottCard uh..... Nope.... Never done that.... 🤦.... That was actually attempt one. Had some diodes take flight. Any suggestions for little solder balls that just wind up in the middle of nowhere? Clean up with isopropyl? Or?
@@emf9 I use alcohol and an old toothbrush to clean the board. This also removes any extra flux.the alcohol evaporates quickly and is easy to clean up.
so helpful, thanks again Scott :-)
You are most welcome. Thanks
How to get LED smd library in proteus? Need help
I started with the resistor package and modified it. I may make a video on this topic 🤔. Thanks for the comment 👍
great video - can i use awg 14 cables on banana from mueller? it does say max 18 awg so bit confused
It worked OK for me. I will look at the datasheet again. 😊
can we make it 0v until 25v or more using potentiometer
If the input voltage is high enough, this would be able to go up to about 36 volts (max 40 for the lm317). Remember that the higher the voltage drop over the regulator, the more heat will need to be disapated.
Thank you😁
You are welcome. Thanks for your support.
