I have an 05 XT Wagon that the original owner ran out of oil. The car was from the South, so it has no rust at all on it. I replaced the shortblock with one from a 16 STI that had a slight rod knock. I replaced the valves and valve seals and re-shimmed all the lifters replaced the crank and bearings and ended up with a very healthy longblock. It is my favorite Subaru of all the Subarus Ive ever owned! I plan on storing it during the winter and keeping it forever.

This noise makes me feel so nostalgic. Haven’t been in a flight since summer 2019. Used to go to the Maldives every year with my family. My dad would work his ass off to afford to go and we would only have one holiday a year for 3 weeks. This sound reminds me of the sun, the beach, the waves, but most importantly my dad. He’s no longer with us but I’ll always think of him when I hear this sound. Maybe next summer will be the year we can finally hear it again ❤

so now we get it, looks like black but its not a black = purple....

This is a certified mitsubishi Pyrenees black pearl moment. Almost black, but hiding a lot of color flake only visible when you're a foot away 😂

Love purple, but this is just too close to a black hue. BMW and Dodge have purple down pat!

Yes it could be little lighter purple and silver wheel is a welcoming feature from played out darker wheels trend. In the other hand design of the spokes now feel paper thin with a better visual from the silver paint

I have a silver 2001 like yours, but with factory chrome rims. They really make the car pop and stand out. The owner's manual says the car should get 91 octane gas. Do you get engine knock with 87 octane?
