I have a silver 2001 like yours, but with factory chrome rims. They really make the car pop and stand out. The owner's manual says the car should get 91 octane gas. Do you get engine knock with 87 octane?

I have a 2007 Subaru Legacy that has been in the garage for a year. I wanted to take it out for a ride but it would not start. The category 1 alarm system does not respond to arming nor disarming and the alarm LED light does not turn on. I tried the code using the keypad but nothing. The car battery is new and the remote battery is new as well. What could be the issue?

Yes, nice vid and 100% agree, these ESs were the peak of Lexus quality, as you mention the ES is a derivative of the Toyota Camry and even my 2001 Camry LE and 2004 Camry XLE were stellar in build quality, reliability, comfort, and interior appointments.

i subscribed awhile back because of your subaru content and it's cool to see you have an es300 too!! I don't know much about how the seats operate, but my brother's 1998 es300 is having issues with the height adjustment of the driver's seat. Do you have any idea of what might cause that? It still moves forwards and back, but not up or down.

FYI concerning dealership repair pricing. Quoted a price of $1530.00, that's one thousand five hundred and thirty dollars ,to replace a fuel pump on an 09 toyota corolla. Did the job myself. Pump was $170.00. Took me one hour to remove old pump and install new pump. Used ordinary hand tools that most everyone has around the house.

My Legacy Wagon, 2004, 2000CC engine, same body as your OUTBACK, I bought it new, March 2004. Currently, with 340,000 kilometers, which is 212,000 miles. Original engine has never been opened, drives, sounds and feels like a new engine. Zero faults, no need to edd oil or coolant.Serviced every 10K km or K6 miles.. Maintained only with original parts. No parts were assembled that do not come in original Subaru packaging. The whole car feels tight and gives a much better feeling when riding and driving, than the Legacys that came later. Not selling it, it's for life.
