    This product works great for headlamps, cabrio rear windows, and all sorts of plastic parts, as long as the plastic material surface is exposed. If it is painted, like a bumper, then a regular polish should be used. Also, any print over the surface, like car buttons, must be tape covered. Otherwise, it will be erased.

    This product removes scratches from my instrument cluster. However, the plastic looks dull. Do you have a way to fix this?

    Holy shit man I really hope everyone watching is more careful than you are As others have pointed out the jack has to be sliding, the fact that you saw the car move that much and didnt find it concerning makes me thing those 2 jackstands missing on the shelf saved your life ;) Also, securing the car by placing the jack in the middle of the car? Mate, anything goes wrong that jack's arm goes straight through, or bends the floor in the best case

    Yes, that plastic polish is the best. We have the exact same thing here in the US.

    I was bricking it before starting this on my Nissan Leaf but your video gave me the confidence. It works a treat though and all surface scratches gone. I did it the same as I would on the paintwork. Medium pressure, keep the cloth moving and keep it wet with product. I’d do about 30sec polishing then wipe with a damp then dry cloth. I just kept repeating until all the scratches were gone. Instrument cluster almost like new again but it will leave slight swirls which you will see in certain light and angles so remember it’s a compromise. You can live with your current scratches that you see all the time or create loads more scratches that you’ll see only some of the time.

    Just as added safety, throw your wheels underneath the car laying horizontal. That way if the jacks break, you have a third safety.

    I drive a Kenworth t680. I used to have a 2023, brand new, no previous user, but I had to give it up when I went in for hip replacement surgery 3 months ago. When I came back to work, all the company had available was a 2021 Kenworth. The dash looked like someone cleaned it with sandpaper. I tried this routine and it worked perfectly. Lo9ks like a new dash/bezel. The only correction I suggest is for the final cleaning with the PlastRx, let it dry, and wipe off the film with a dry microfiber cloth. It shines! Thanks for the video.

    This fixed my Honda CRV instrument cluster a year ago, and just fixed my PSP srceen as well! I did exactly what you said, going to town on the scratches, and it looks much better than it did earlier, for sure!! Definitely going to throw a screen protector for that one, after fixing especially that super deep scratch that is harder to see now! Thank you!

    Does plast x work on scratched headlights

  • @WBWizard
    @WBWizard ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video. But I think you should make a final round with a finish polish like the Menzerna 3000. I guess the plast x is pretty much like an heavy cut polish. It cuts the big scratches but left the surface hazy. Adding a final step with a less aggressive polish would be perfect. On some car I guess you can add a liquid wax to add UV light protection and avoid future haziness.

    the way the car moves sidways... yeah nah, you need something harder under the jack so it can roll under the car rather than the car being pulled toward the jack, maybe not too bad when lifting one end but lift the back end too and you're going to be putting a twisting force on both of the front jackstands :/

    • @FourthWayRanch
      @FourthWayRanch 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You only need a relatively thin piece of sheet metal between the jack and plywood to keep the wheels from digging in. I give the jack a tap with a hammer to help it roll too

    I was using pavers for the jack stands, but I will now use plywood for the trolley jack. the whole process of not having a level drive is irritating. I may be wrong to feel safer on a flat gravel surface than on a sloped driveway...I don't know.

    heavy 4 by 4 or a van will cause jack s wheels stuck in wood and not rolling in to position. I mean wood, not plywood . Will plywood handle the weight ?
