Children all over the world are growing up without the care, protection and guidance they need. SOS Children's Villages is there, working with children, young people and families to tackle this global issue on a local level. We work to keep families together, provide alternative care when needed, support young people on their path to independence, and advocate for the rights of children. Together with donors, partners, communities and governments, we lay the foundations for a brighter future
Importance of Strengthening Child Protection and Alternative Care in Ghana
As part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we organized a 'Conference on Strengthening Child Protection and Alternative Care in Ghana' in partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection and the Department of Social Welfare.
The conference was attended by child protection organizations such as UNICEF Ghana, OAfrica, and like-minded agencies.
We bring you a playback of Rev. Dr. Mrs. Comfort Asare, Director, and Department of Social Welfare on the importance of Strengthening Child Protection and Alternative Care in Ghana.
