I've heard in videos that he had a falling out with the other Weasleys, and didn't believe Harry about Voldemorts return. He did reconcile with his family during the Deathly Hallows before fighting the deatheaters. I read part of the book, he seemed very sad and a little guilt stricken when Fred died. I really need to read the books more.

I remember everyone got mad that percy didn't have glasses on like in the book and i got mad at hermiones dress in the 4th one because it was supposed to blue and i was looking forward to see it 😢

Okay! I need a good vent... Percy's story is one of the most heartbreaking, and when you dig into the details, it’s hard not to feel for him. He’s often seen as the ambitious brother who put his career before his family, but there’s so much more to why his story is so tragic-and why he deserves more empathy. Growing up as one of seven kids in the Weasley family wasn’t easy for Percy. His older brothers, Bill and Charlie, were already off doing amazing things-Bill was a successful curse-breaker and Charlie was working with dragons. Then there were Fred and George, who were always the life of the party, and Ron, who was Harry Potter’s best friend. Percy, the serious one, felt this intense pressure to stand out in his own way. He worked incredibly hard, always following the rules, becoming a Prefect and later Head Boy, thinking these achievements would finally make his parents proud. But instead of bringing him closer to his family, his ambition started to create distance. There’s a strong case to be made that Percy was more of a Slytherin than a Gryffindor. He had that ambition, that drive to succeed, and a desire to be recognised, which are classic Slytherin traits. But knowing how much his family valued being in Gryffindor, Percy likely asked the Sorting Hat to place him there, just to meet their expectations. This internal conflict-between his true nature and what he thought he should be-added a lot of pressure that only grew over time. When Percy landed his job at the Ministry of Magic, it felt like the validation he’d been searching for. He was finally out of his brothers’ shadows, working directly under Bartemius Crouch Sr., someone he admired. But even in this role, there were signs of how little he was actually valued. His boss, who was supposed to be mentoring him, couldn’t even remember his name, calling him "Weatherby" instead. But Percy, ever the loyal employee, brushed it off and continued to believe that the Ministry was his ticket to making something of himself. He was so committed to the idea of authority and order that he couldn’t see the growing corruption within the Ministry, or accept that his family’s concerns might be valid. This loyalty to the Ministry came at a huge cost. When the Ministry started opposing Harry and Dumbledore, Percy chose the institution over his family, leading to a painful estrangement. He even sent back his Christmas jumper, a simple but devastating act that symbolised his rejection of his family. Percy’s ambition, which was supposed to make him proud, ended up isolating him from the people who loved him most. And as the Ministry fell further under Voldemort’s influence, Percy found himself in an increasingly dark and lonely place, surrounded by people who didn’t care about him as a person. It’s heartbreaking to think about how alone he must have felt, trapped by his own decisions. The saddest moment in Percy’s story comes during the Battle of Hogwarts. After years of estrangement, he finally realises he was wrong and returns to his family, begging for forgiveness. It’s a powerful moment because it shows just how much regret and guilt he’s been carrying. But this reconciliation is bittersweet-just as Percy is starting to reconnect with his family, Fred is killed in an explosion. Percy’s devastation is palpable as he cradles Fred’s body, realising that he lost all that time he could have spent with his brother. It’s a crushing moment, full of the pain of missed opportunities and the harsh reality of what his choices have cost him. After the war, Percy has to live with the burden of his past mistakes. His family may forgive him, but the guilt of what he did, and the time he lost, will likely haunt him forever. He’ll always remember that he wasn’t there when his family needed him most, and that Fred’s death happened just as he was trying to make things right. This regret is a heavy burden, and it’s one that Percy will carry for the rest of his life. What makes Percy’s story even sadder is how misunderstood he often is. To many, he comes across as pompous and overly serious, but underneath that exterior is someone who just wanted to prove himself. He wasn’t trying to hurt anyone; he was trying to be successful in a way that would make his family proud. But his ambition, combined with his need to be seen as successful, led him down a path that isolated him from the people who loved him. Percy’s need for recognition is something we can all relate to, and it makes his story all the more tragic when we see where that need led him. More is explained in the books. Knowing that there will be a Harry potter Reboot Series I hope they explore more of Percy weasley's story over the course of the story. Percy weasley is a very hated character, but I think otherwise he seems to me a very undervalued character, since his course through the saga is well done and at the same time leaves a message that Ambition and Blindness for success and at the same time time leaves another great message that "Everyone can fail you in this world, but family will always be there for you".

I hate that they cut out Percy’s storyline from the movies, at least verbally since in the background you can see it playing out. It wouldn’t even be difficult to implement a couple lines of Ron talking about Percy and Arthur’s fight or Percy’s love for the minister
