Hey everybody this is SpeakerBlowUpMan! Here I test various speaker units, blow various speaker units, do reviews, destruction, and random vids.
Right now, I'm on a mission to uncover diamonds in the rough, within the vast sea of Huaqiangbei speakers.
There are a lot of rough, but not a lot of diamonds...which is why I'm still here yapping.

Weird Bose subwoofer...from a slot machine
Yup. Not a TV sub, nor is it a car sub. Pretty interesting. Sounds pretty good too. Sound test @ 1:17 and teardown @ 3:23

I like the teardown and the fact the you came out honestly about the quality of parts of this speaker, thanks for the video ,i'm looking forward on buying it for at least 180.00.keep up the good work.
CAÑO!!!!
hardly a subwoofer if you ask me but interesting nonetheless
Having been to Las Vegas multiple times, I can tell you... Slot machine sound systems are WAY better than you would expect.
Fr I've seen lots of slot machine speakers on ebay with self contained enclosures
That's so interesting lmao! Never ever thought about a subwoofer in a slot machine. Great discovery
Damn, a slot machine subwoofer, Didn't expect such things to exist. Man i love these weird "wave guide" designs from Bose! Such a cool company with interesting designs
Bose makes a lot of different speakers, but i've never seen anyting like this from them. It sounds pretty good for one of those drivers acting as a sub. I've looked at some replacement drivers and the specifications don't look too bad.
Wow.. A Fullrange as a Woofer! But this one have a cloth surround instead of foam Very cool
I tought I had seen it all until i see a subwoofer from a... slot machine...
I could guess this was used in a bigger machine instead of the usual slot and perhaps a pair of them, I know Bose does oem applications for speakers but casinos? Definitely an interesting choice and maybe cheaper than designing an enclosure with speaker from scratch.
bugani is best
Can u moddify the grill for better clearity?
Pulling the fabric off might help. It's not gonna look pretty tho
Great work. 😊 That you interact with the companies needs an extra thumbs up👍🏼🤗
Thanks!
9:51 what kind of PCD trace at is 90 degree angle???
Those are vias that connext two sides of the pcb. Besides, there is still some curvature
Hate this Track but nice Woofer! 👍
The doppler distortion is pathetic.
Of course lol. These are not full ranges
Sound is pretty good, but the plastic gets brittle/fragile with the years. The 1991 RX DT-707 Cobra machine (comes with AUX jack) has pretty good sound for louder output. The 1993 RX DT-501 Cyber sounds even better/clearer, but not as loud as the 707. Put an AUX jack in the 501 and connected it to the computer. 𝐓𝐨 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐦 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧 Electric power consumption - comparison: Stand by mode: 501 (3W) | 707 (4.1W) Radio on mode: 501 (8,5W) | 707 (10.7W) with CD audio signal for DIY Aux jack for the 501 (11W-11.4W) | on in AUX mode for the 707 ( 11W)
I heard the dt501 but didn't like it very much. The dt701/901 are better imo as they have an additional tweeter.

Hello and many thanks for this video! You are the first and only to do a teardown for the Google Home Max and i thank you for that. The only teardown i could find on the internet is the FCC photos and thats it. Could you please do the complete teardown because i think under the pcb there are 3 more amp chips and one more thing i want to know is how many amps the power supply has. About the power supply: they used a very high quality manufacturer for Home Max ,as it makes power supplies for 24/7 in medical or critical fields. I own 2 Home Max in stereo pair and 2 Nest Audio in stereo pair and i think the sound from each pair is beyond expectation especially for the Home Max pair! If you search the Max woofer by model number it give a Bang&Olufsen driver so very high quality. I cant find it now but there is a white paper with the huge amount of design work and measurement from the team that worked for both speakers. Please finish the teardown and cant wait for the excursion test. Thank you!!
Yes your right! There is another 30wpc amp on the back of the board. That means an amp for each coil. I will try to run an external single coil woofer for each amp and see what it does if I have time in the future
@@speakerblowupmanlee5921 Please dont forget to do a full teardown on Earfun Uboom X also. Thanks!! PS:if you are kind enough please tell me the output voltage and amps for the Home Max power supply.
@speakerblowupmanlee5921 Hello again. Please dont forget to do the Earfun Uboom X teardown. PS: and please tell me voltage and amps output for the Home Max power supply. Thanks!
How many watts are the woofers??
30w rms per woofer
Would you say the S8 Pro Max is the best speaker for its size? Any other speakers you would recommend for this form factor? Thanks!
All three models of doss soundbox xl are great choices. The Tronsmart element mega is also pretty decent
Those mid woofers look incredible!!
Yup. And all seem to be of Northern European design
I have a couple chromecasts and chromecast audio and a nest mini. You have to create speaker groups in the home app. I don't use that feature much but I used to and it was pretty easy to setup. I'd play my home stereo through my chromecast that's hooked to my TV and my chrome cast audio is hooked to my receiver for my garage stereo. Works great.
Yup I created a speaker group. It just never works. I had to download an older version of the app to get it to somewhat work properly.
.
Actually looks like a really good woofer
It's pretty decent. Likely a tang band driver.
It's a speaker from Braun Most Grundig speakers back in the days are manufactured from Braun They are really well made
This one is visonik. So it's likely a heco driver
Is that a neodymium magnet, it looks small but good?
Yes it is
@TheChrisplayer94 It'll be good if most bt speaker companies start adapting to it, it's lighter & more efficient but a bit more expensive anyways
Most do now. Neo magnets are getting really cheap
Baby Boombox woofer
You can open an account in others streaming services like Locals and Rumble.
Isn't that for streamers like twitch?
Any reason for it to have a indent in the middle?
Likely to center the voice coil. Might also be to eliminate ringing.
@ is this type of woofer any good?
@@Nathan-tn5yb it has weird resonances at around 3-4khz.
So its not designed for highs as much
@@Nathan-tn5yb yeah. Eastech also had similar low profile drivers. I heard those perform batteries at high frequencies as they don't have a cavity in the cone assembly like these.
looks like a mini jbl boombox 3 woofer
Wow the motor is huge compared to it. Is there any where I can find these?
How about this vs the Earfun Uboom X?
They're not comparable. The earfun are almost 3x bigger. Both are good speakers tho
@@speakerblowupmanlee5921 Do you think the S8 Pro Max is the best for its size? Any other speakers you think can compete with it at the same size? Thanks.
@@speakerblowupmanlee5921 Would you say the S8 Pro Max is the best for its size? Any others you think are good competitors for the same size? Thanks!
Wow it actually sounds really enemic, Techder Audios was liking it, not sure why
It has deep bass down to the low 40Hz. Sad that it doesn't make up for the poor tuning. It also severely lacks upper bass.
So I have the zealot -s31 bluetooth speaker and it is a good little speaker with good sand I would love to see you do a review on it one day if possible and good video to :]
Waited for this Video! 🙌
Great video as always. All Zealot speakers have more or less problem with sound quality.. S85 inside has nothing interesting.. Next please Earfun Uboom X 🙂
Another mono design like the Boom2. 2 tweeters 1 woofer.
It could use more bass, but other than that it sounds really good.
all 1st in youtube i love this channel!!
I paid $170 for it new from compsource. Thank you for the tear down.
New
I could get it for 130

Как называются песни, использованные в видео?
Thanks for the teardown. Actually, Biref Pro is available for purchase in my country since few weeks. Encouraged by your recent announcement video I gave it a try, especially as Uboom X has a higher price tag here at the moment. 1. I was concerned about wobbly volume knob that it will rattle along bass notes. Thankfully, I haven't observed such issue. 2. I am not sure about stated battery play time (4h max volume; 12h "normal"). "Normal" is subjective and in my case playing it "in background" seems to give something closer to 6-8 hours of play. 3. I hope that one day Bugani will launch a smartphone App to play with EQ as ATS2835 chip seems to have DSP capabilities already bulit-in. In case of deadening the enclosure vibrations, butyl pads might do the trick to some extent. Battery pack gives hope for future DIY replacements. All in all "interesting" looking speaker Looks like DIY'ing BT speaker becomes less and less financially viable option...
Decent speaker. I'd be more worried about the plastic cabinet rattling than the volume knob. That said, Both of ny Huaqiangbeinators cost about $150 to make. I can further lower the price by using cheaper speaker drivers.
This bogasing sound artificial
Hey bro can you do the zanier soundcore Rave Neo 2 and teardown
Boom plus never on market in Indonesia.. Bbrrrr....
Use a heat gun to warm up the glue and use plastic pry tools so it can be removed easier and probably not damage the grill.
Sounds doable. I'm just worried about damaging the speaker driver.
Are you going to do a teardown in your reveiw for the u boom x? Curious to know if they ar3 using neodymium drivers
Yes I'll do a teardown. And no, they're not using a neodymium driver.
@speakerblowupmanlee5921 It feels kinda light still (to me at least, I know everyone will feel different about the weight). Alright thank you for the info.
Its because I own one but rather see @speakerblowupmanlee5921 take it apart. No one else has seemed to do it and showcase a video on yt yet from what I've tried finding. I'd like to refrain from voiding a warranty just in case I mess something up trying to take it apart.
