Yeah I feel like Aberration is going to really hit home for the feeling of having a challenge in Ark. I am excited for it to drop. I am expecting we will get 2-3 new creatures. I am hoping the new creatures we get with the map add to what already makes it great and doesn’t take away from it. And that they fix the basilisk’s problems with not always eating the eggs for taming 😂

Good call out. I should have included that. There’s a few ways to get them. Kill alpha Mosas and tusos. Usually 50-100 pearls for each. You can have your otter kill fish and they will bring you silica pearls and the occasional black pearl (not a great way to get many, but if you only need a few more this could work). Find, kill and harvest Eurypterids. They are found at the very bottom in the doesn’t parts of the ocean. Near where you would find mosas and tusos. The tusos will be the best harvesting rates and then using a pick. The best weight reduction is the dunky for the black pearls.

@@ChaosBearGaming Welp, the server I'm on, the wild dinos are so powerful, that my near max level argy cannot kill two scorpions, and no wild dino pick up. Not sure I'll ever progress far enough to take on Mosas and Tusos, unless I change clusters.

Not sure if you are playing official settings or if you have boosted wild dino stats, but this may work: If you’re on land, then try to trap and tame a thyla. Their bleed ability will shred health and help you defeat stronger dinos. If you’re in the water then find some shallow water and try to tame a Xiphactinus. Just trap them with some pillars or Dino gateways and gates. They are one of the new creatures added into the base game. They are also a basic knock out tame. They have a bleed ability and a pack buff. So they get a mate boost bonus, a pack buff bonus and a bleed proc. Even if they are all low level, they can shred through all of the oceans toughest creatures. If you’re taking on an alpha then I would maybe suggest a few higher levels, but those two creatures should really help out. Also consider dire wolfs on land. they don’t have bleed, but they also get a pack buff and they have a howl that buffs their damage as well.

@@ChaosBearGaming thanks. Yeah, I just started fresh in this map on Wednesday. My only attack animal is argies so far. Can’t go to cold for wolves yet, as I don’t have fur armor and not enough points in fortitude yet.

No of course, I don’t know anything about PvP. That’s why at location 4 I said “I don’t think any of these spots out in the open are good for PvP, maybe the caves, but not these open areas”. I appreciate your feedback. When I get a chance to get on the computer I’ll update the thumbnail and/or title.

Yeah I realized that when I went into the trench lol 😂 there is literally like 100,000+ metal down there, and the dunk has an affinity for crystal, metal, stone, obsidian and oil.

I really like that location too. And the bear cave is really cool.

What exactly do you mean tame slots? If you are referring to the total tame limit you can have on a server at once then no the saddle does not count. I just went in game and tested it. But if you meant something else entirely then please let me know.

managed to get 2 autos up lol 🤞🤞

before i ever got the 600 pearls man i literally went through hell. first attempt was to fly around the middle of the map bc i remembered in the og map pearls would spawn in some lakes. couldn’t find any. then i tried the snow just in case. then the floating island. still couldn’t find any. then went to the water part of floating island couldn’t get to far sharks were about to kill me. then my last attempt before i found the cave was to tame a dolphin and go deep sea. i knew the ocean was risky with the stuff that stuns you. well i get a dolphin and bang! straight away i get destroyed by that new fish the x fish it doesn’t kill me but it killed my tame but look another dolphin was approaching it was a low level so it instantly tamed i jumped on and i was free and then BANG bloody 2!!!! of the x fish attack me kill me and my dolphin spent hrs trying to get my kit back was the worst start ever haven’t played since they started adding tek lol

Yeah locating them was difficult at first. That sounds like the biggest mega “getting arked” ever. That sounds real rough. Sorry to hear you had such a hard time. Those Xiph too are so fast and powerful. The bary is the best to deal With them cause of their stun, but barys of course can be difficult to get until you get some kibble. As well as a mount strong enough to deal with the swamp.

The water Is quite deep, I feel like Spinos and Xiphs will have a blast on this map. What interesting is that it seems like it in the promotional trailer for the new “paid” fire creature, that it’s almost stopped by water, if that’s the case they would be very limited on this boss fight unless they stay at the spawning platform. If they are even allowed into the boss fight that is.

I found some caves that led to water areas that had lots of resources. I am out with the family for most of the night, but I’ll check it out sometime tonight or tomorrow and let you know. Or whip a video with underwater resolve caves. Sorry I don’t have an answer for its location right away.

@@harpaxpteso4153 I am sure there is plenty to discover. There are so many caves, the verticality on this map Is great. The island is just flat and the only caves are just artifact caves, the underwater caves on the center are so big and and have so much in them, it’s crazy

Awesome, I am really glad I was able to help. Still Looking for a big oil resource and I haven’t been able to find the entrance to the huge underground area, they moved some of the entrances that I knew about, there’s so many resources down there, or at least there was.

It wasn’t a mirror. It’s a painting canvas: unlocks level 21 (4 fiber, 2 wood, 1 hide), then if you have the bobs tall tales dlc, the structure cosmetic can be turned into 8 different things. I used it on the foundations so they looked like planks and then you can also use it on a painting canvas and it adds that gold frame to it. You are right on the map though. I didn’t realize that it unlocked at level 51. I thought it was way earlier. It does only costs 4 fiber, 2 wood and 1 hide though, same as the canvas. However, it does take awhile to unlock to your point. Thanks for that feedback.

I didn’t like how furnished the pillars and railings looked. Also the walls didn’t really give off a beach look. I thought about swapping out the roof for thatch, that may have been a better thatch to mix up the different pieces even more.

I guess my video could almost be promoting ASA (hey look at these cool creatures) 😂 Really though. I feel like ASE was in early access for a long time. Then when it was released there was so many dlcs and then ark 2 news, then delay news, then ASA just slipped into ark 2s spot with no more info on ark 2… The communication I am sure confused many. Which has led to many just playing what they already know. And of course if there’s a not strong selling point (that people know about) then they won’t buy a “remake:remaster”. I mean look at “the last of us 2”. It didn’t need a remake (my opinion), but we sure got one and it maybe didn’t do amazing like it did when it first came out, but they definitely sold some units because there was a lot of media around it. There just has to be closer communication around expectations. Wildcard needs to under promise and over deliver. But in order for that to happen they themselves need to be confident in the product they are launching/selling. I don’t believe they always are because they don’t have full control of what takes place and they themselves have a lack of communication given to them. Between snail, and of course Sony, Microsoft, nitrado, steam, etc. TLDR: There are a lot of dogs trying to eat and sometimes we as players end up getting tossed in the feeding frenzy. Just my two sense, but what do I know 😂😂

It definitely could use some more attention, but it needs to meet expectations for sure, or people need to be given a reason to upgrade.
