Maybe for the first time, I connected this scene with Brando's other iconic moment, the cab scene in "On the Waterfront." Ex-boxer Terry Malloy's admission of regret "I coulda been a contender" brackets poignantly with Don Corleone's realization "There wasn't enough time, Michael." As it brackets Brando's career. Terry gets a chance at redemption, but the Don has to pass the torch to his son and hope he can carry on for the family.

LOL c'mon, the "Gordfather" sounds like a man, who is touched in the head and suffers from a deformity in his face.
