Hi there. My mom loves this recipe. I had tried so many recipes for tea cakes. My mom said this was the best ever. It was the cookie, most like the ones her grandmother made on Sundays. I have discovered that this recipe is so very flexible. Sometimes I add lemon extract and lemon zest and drizzle with a simple lemon juice; powdered sugar glaze. I’ve added chopped macadamia nuts or pecans or even toasted coconut . All winners🎉! Thank you so much for this recipe. It means the world to me and my mother. ❤
Please send me this yummy tea cake recipe. Thanks. God bless
How much baking powder and baking soda?
I added almond paste, incredible!

Nobody never said what kind of butter. Salted or unsalted

Did I miss how much of the dry ingredients
I remember when I was a kid I was about 10 years old when I learned how to make tea cakes everything you use and ingredients we use but we also use nutmeg😅 and three cups of sugar instead of two by the way you have a beautiful kitchen God bless 🙏🏽❣️
Love please include recipe. You never stated baking soda and salt amounts? Unsalted or salted butter? Oven temperature? Baking is a science exact measurements are important. Thank you
I like nutmeg in mine but those look good!❤
Does everyone use buttermilk vs whole milk?
Nicely done ✅ and love the way you do it
They look delicious. Will try. Thank you Linda
Looks like the ones my mom used to make😋😋😋😋
The answer to the question of baking powder and baking soda: Baking powder is 2 teaspoons. Baking soda is 1 teaspoon. According to Linda’s reply.
I will be making these for a company Christmas party. They ain’t ready!!!! :-)
You didn’t say how much baking soda and baking powder but I’ll figure it out. I’m making them today. Also I like that you made them thick and soft. My mother taught me to make them thick and not fluffy but kind of heavy. They were good but I like light and fluffy better. I will let you know how they come out.
Hard to make if you do not give all measurements
Just made these tonight. So good.
You did not give baking powder measurements
I need the baking powder measurements and also the oven temp please? Thank you
I love the way you take the time to explain each ingredient, ❤
I liked the way you explained the instructions and how you put all things together. ❤
I missed the amount of baking powder and baking soda. TIA
Will you state the temp & how much baking soda & baking powder. Thank You
Thumbs down because you will not answer questions on how much b. powder/soda to use. What temp?
I’ve not tried it with buttermilk, can’t wait. Sure to be delish!
Do you use regular milk? I don’t have buttermilk & I wouldn’t have to make some with vinegar. 13:53
@@imdavis1784 You could use milk, guess you know the vinegar w/milk to mimic buttermilk. I added almond paste and it is excellent! Good luck.

What amount do you use of the Baking Powder and Baking Soda? Thank you.
I have been searching for the perfect tea cake recipe for a long time. Yours come closer than any others I have view. There were 3 things you didn't tell us: 1. How much baking powder to use. 2. How much baking soda you used. 3. The temperature setting of the stove, and #: 4. Rather or not you used salted or unsalted butter? The outcome looked like what I have been searching for. I am sure that I can use other spices and flavorings to give it a different twist. Thank you. God bless you 🙏 and your channel.
Was there any salt used?
Was that milk in the Pyrex measuring cup that you added the vanilla to?? If so how much was it?
