CHEERS THANKS MATE. DRAWING IN PUBLIC SPACE UNDER "CADemist Unique Christmas Ornament"
Found it, I like your coloring with purple!
suggestion: How to create a texture grip on a part that has a non perfect rounded surface, Ex: like a toy gun grip etc
great suggestion, I'll put that on my list!
Nice. Can you also do a tutorial of how to do a gas turbine blade or gas turbine blisk?
I will put that on my list.
i always learn something
great!
Fascinating! Thank you!
My pleasure!
Danke!
Vielen Dank!
Thanks for some really good tutorials :)
Glad you like them!
I to design a magWell for weeks Now, I can't find the way that I am happy with,,,, Yes Iam new to on shape
Best of luck!
coming up with how to approach it is the real deal, that is crazy good
thx
using this video for a middle school tech class could probably understand it if instead of using keys for things you could use the button on the screen instead
Thank you for the suggestion.
So perfect sir
Thank you.
So amazing sir
So nice of you
The idea and concept behind the design is great. just it will be greater if some parameters are explained, for example, why the radius of the helix is 66, can it be 77 or 88? does it matter?
thanks for your comment. As to measurements, I just pick something that looks good to me, and is convenient to type. I think viewers can try with my approach, but would then modify according to personal taste-
Can't wait to do it myself once i have time Thank u for the tutorial
So this actually works, to attract viewers from shorts to videos! I hope you'll like it---
How do I remove material using the letters as they are curved onto a surface? and it evenly removes material along it's curve
try "move face"-command.
WOOHOO Thank you for posting !
You bet!
Muchas Gracias!!!
Con mucho gusto!
i went from designing a mug for my very object in cad on a free student account to then 2 months later making a jet engine with all of the vanes and airfoils then making a working rocket for my project in school then recently joined college i gave up with on shape because i guess only good for sheet metal so im now making a working jet engine on solid works no hate to on shape but solid works has better integration and compatibility
SolidWorks is definitely a powerful tool for complex mechanical designs. However, Onshape has its own strengths, especially for collaborative projects and cloud-based workflows. It really depends on your specific needs and preferences.
Thanks from a school in Dublin
Hello to Dublin! (seeing your profile, this might be a cabinet-maker-school!?)
@@cademist No it's a regular secondary school that uses onshape llike a lot of schools in Ireland. It's just that we have made some French trestles in the past which is considered Carpentry as opposed to Cabinet making.
Molto utile. Grazie 👍
Di nulla!
Grazie mille per i tuoi Tutorials e la tua condivisione. 👍
Mi fa piacere sapere che apprezzi il mio lavoro.
Great idea with the bridging curve!! Thanks for the video.
You bet!
Nice part studio and use of mate connectors to get things positioned!!!!
Wow-you are fast! I just published this! Thx.
Hello you earned a new sub btw is this done in autocad if not then can we make similar animation using autocad❤
Great-I did this in solidworks, rendering in Visualize-I have seen nice things being done in Autocad but don't know too much about it myself.
@cademist appreciate your work dude it's 🔥🔥
Very cool one, thank you! I like the shape of this and how you created it with a circular pattern. How do you come up with those ideas? As a side note: I created the bridging curve for the pattern axis by creating an additional 80 mm construction square in Sketch 1 and Sketch 2. You can then use two vertices from those sketches to create the bridging curve. This will save you the additional Sketch 3 and the surface Extrude
Thanks. I just look around-I think I saw something on Pinterest for this one. You are definitely right with your approach-I just want to keep sketches very simple for my audience.
Nicely done as always!
Thanks for the visit
Recommend watching this in 1.5x. Still Learned a lot tho! Great job
Good to hear!
Long time since the latest video. Glad to see you back.
I know, right? Time flies when you're procrastinating. But I'm back, and I'm bringing the content!
Now thats cool
glad you like it!
Nice work! Love seeing in-context design with sheet metal in Onshape!
More to come!
👍👍👍
:-)
what measurements are you using. I see the #'s but are they mm, inches, cm etc.
All this is in mm.
2:06 this is driving me crazy, how can you take a point on the top plain to constrain it on a line on another plane?
I think this demonstrates the ease and friendliness of the app!
@@cademist I couldn't find any material explaining details regarding how to use Midpoint constraint this way - on entities which belong to two planes though. Do you have a video or something to give a more detailed lesson ? thanks
@@MrTangland sounds like a great idea for a future video!
How do you come up with the INITIAL measurement and angle?
the first measurement, the 22mm is arbitrary-you can pick any dimension. the 120 degrees represent the geometric definition of a hexagon.
Cómo realizó la pieza "azul"?
Hola Manuel, inicialmente calculé la circunferencia, después diseñe un rectángulo con esta dimension, allí dibujé con spline ese perfil, y, últimamente usé el "wrap" tool en Solidworks.
This is a great video with clear instructions. I was looking for a simple assembly to experiment on for my major project and this has been a great help. I only have one question: I would like to know how could I show an exploded view of this assembly.
Thanks. "exploded view" in SW is easy. In the assembly you find that command and you just pull the different parts apart from each other. You can even animate the explosion!
@cademist thank you so much
@cademist thank you so much
Very Nice sir
Thanks and welcome
Your onshape tutorials are top notch! Thank you! I just found your channel and have learned a ton.
Happy to hear that!
I did it!!!! Learned loads here, fantastic tutorial!
Yay! Thank you!
Great tutorial. In futre, could you please provide the 2D guide drawings, so that practiving people, can attempt in on their own, and only refer to the video, when they get stuck. Would be highly appreciated
That's a great suggestion, I've been meaning to do so, maybe with a referal to my website, where one could reference the drawing.
@cademist Yes, exactly.
Hola tienes WhatsApp para una consulta
De verdad que no tengo, pero con confianza, escríbe nomás acá o a mi correo!
Solid works was so confusing when I first started trying to model, but after a week or two, I eventually figured it out!
great to hear!
how do you rotate the model so smoothly?
I got a 3D-mouse in my left hand and can recommand its' use very much.
I have no idea why most cad design tutorials of a part like just jumps straight in, doens't tell me why they take the dimenions or values they take, doesn't even show the 2d cad drawing with dimensions side by side to show how they're doing it and why they're doing a particular design step that way. It at least for me leaves it very vague.
I take this approach to show a fast way to the object, but I'll take your suggestion of drawings for future videos!
@@cademist I'd really love that, thank you!🙌🏻
Perhaps do another impeller design and this time take dimensions of say what if you have got blade dimensions with negative angle? let's your inlet angle is -30° & outlet angle is 30°. And there's no need for vanes or splitter blades.
to be honest, maybe you should think about drawing a bezier on a plane tangent to the side of the base then wrap it around, instead of just a helix?
That is another good approach, starting from a 2D-sketch, which would be projected to a 3d surface, if that works for you, why not?
0:17 on the animated Propellers, there is a small gap between the joints of the fins.
That is a reflection of the fillet!
there is a small gap in one of the connections.
the fillet appears in almost the same color of the background.
Failed miserably to follow your instructions to the T, however I can only surmise that OnShape is trash like FeeCad
Scotch yoke mechanism?
is there a difference?
Thanks for your tutorial , I learn more , you teaching was great, I hope learn more from you.
Glad it was helpful!
