Hi Christian, I've been watching videos all day to saee if you could do multi tracking, so you can hear the other tracks play back on the computer as you record live a new track, using the USB. Am I right in what you are saying that I can?

Christian, silly question. I’m new at this. I currently use a Focusrite into Cubase. Will each slider on the interface reflect the channel on Cubase. I really just play and record tunes for my grand-daughter. But it would be good to have the channels set up, and allow my Granddaughter to sing into. Thanks.

Hello mate, that’s a real pain you’ve had issues. I hope I don’t get the same I won’t have it as I’ve just bought a Behringer a slightly newer model though similar to yours. Mine has the USB facility for a dongle for use with a cordless mic and it has on a small effect processor. I’ll be connecting my new mixer to logic pro on my iMac so hopefully it’s just plug-in play virtually. What was it you said again that burnt out? Do you recommend I use XLR cable to jack for audio connectivity to my Yamaha Genos music keyboard which has built-in amplifier and speakers and is indeed a fantastic instrument. When did you post this video?

Thank you for this, I had the ASIO4ALL driver as I was unable to find the correct one. I use the 1204 USB not FX mixer but the 1204 FX worked for mine. Now it displays in audio settings and in Cubase 11 and actually there is no noticeable latency like I had prior. Great video thanks.

Thanks for the Infos. Very nice. How can I shutoff the active speakers, connected via XLR output while recording? I want to hear the music while recording only on headphones with my voice, and when I finished the recoding I would like to activate them again to mix all...

I know this was a long time ago, but I have recently bought a Xenyx X1204USB and oddly Behringer still does not make the official driver available, and I'm, indeed, having all sorts of problems with the ASIO4ALL v2.0 driver. Also, the Behringer website has been refashioned and the link provided in this video is broken. Does anyone know where I can find the official Behringer driver for this device?

In 2020 recording on this mixer, I have found the MOST frustrating thing is that this mixer cannot mute the primary monitor connection while enabling the usb audio recording from the main mix. The main mix gain slider turns OFF both the main mix output and the INPUT levels. You can't set the gain on an input so that the usb audio input and mute the main monitors. The behringer website is still shit 8 years later.

Hi Christian, saw your explanation to get the behringer for recording, ... bought a Behringer Xenix 1204USB last week an tried to get it work.. all audio ok,.... but can't get it attached to Cubase 5 studio version...ASIO driver is downloaded from the Behringer site.... I watched you downloading the Behringer usb driver...so thougt to visit the link you posted to download the behringer software... but it didn't open..... is the link expired?? is there another possibility to download the driver.it would help me out very much..? thanks in advance!! My mixer is the Xenyx QX1222 USB which is alittle different than the one u were showing but im assuming its not much different as in connecting it etc. I've been fighting with it for about 36 hrs now.. u explained it thank God to where i can understand what i need to do. Can you record separate tracks at the same time in your DAW? Say 4 tracks into the mixer, then 4 separate tracks into the daw to mix each day drum separately in post?

HI from argentina, i look up to day the internet page and the whole interface has change , i couldn't find that package of programs with the " setup.exe" thats appears in this video.. there are some new bunch of programs like the audacity , podcast and some vst... and of course the asio 4all... but its a generic driver, after install this driver, cubase not recognize this driver as a behringer driver usb... and there no connection at all between the mixer and the pc... is been days and days trying to fix this problems and no success , help please, i use a notebook asus with windows 10 and cubase 5. thanks so much.

I know the board has built-in software, but does the board have the ability to multi track record?

I need help!!!! I own the xenyx 1204usbfx. I host karaoke and dj with this mixer. I use the Phones/Control Room output for my booth monitor. For some reason if I use an effect on any channel, I cant here the effect through my Phones/Control Room Monitor output. I can hear everything except the effects. I could use the tape output but theres no control over the volume. Ive tried everything. Mono/Stereo plugs, Main mix button pressed others off and visa versa. Any help would be great. Thanks

Great bit of info especially regarding how to get the driver. The only thing you did not cover here is the actual trouble my brother has with the Behringer X2222USB Xenyx he has just brought and that is getting to monitor both the playback and the recording at the same time to be able to do multi track recording.. Now just like your desk here you have to push down that 2nd Red Button as you did to hear the playback of the 1st track you have recorded. The trouble is when you do that is that you cannot record another track. No signal goes through to the 2nd track to be able to record. Now I have found out that when that button is pushed down it disables the input on the USB to be able to record. So there does not seem to be any way to hear what you have played on the 1st track and record another instrument on the 2nd track.
