What else can I add to what we know already about this guy? I like his playing style, so chaotic but tight at the same time, very sharp and cutting through. Besides being funny as hell and self-aware, not trying to look "evil" or pretentious like e.g. Gaahl... Abbath is a true entertainer, Immortal is a top band.

Return to Metalopolis is a real jewel of an instrumental album. Every song on it is strong. The same can be said for the band he later helped form, called: “Damn the Machine”. Unfortunately, DTM only released one album. Both albums mentioned above are definitely worth searching for and acquiring! 👍

Abbath and Immortal really do stand out! It's definitely the best black metal band ever by far!

Style!!! That is what separates him from everyone else . His ability to cut the note insread of letting it ring. And doing it while bending with such emotiotion. He is such a unique guitarist.
