This seems so fun!! I’ve always wanted to help at an artist alley one day however I don’t know any current artists helpers or close to any vendors. Is there any advice on how to become an artist helper?

I'm so glad it went well for you! Your sewing part of the video was very enjoyable and love your sweet kitty helpers! And YES I agree I have sold at conventions before and they been ok at the table "so far." BUT walking around with one of my plush I've had random people think it's ok to come up and just grab or handle my plush without asking. They could've really ruined my plush or got it really dirty! People need to keep their hands to themselves and respect the craft! Especially if they're not planning on buying it.

Hay Girl, my algorithm suggested your video and I saw your thumband said alright, i will watch, I will subscribe, but I gotta say one thing. Girl, you are WAY TO ATTRACTIVE for that specific haircut. Hear me out. The haircut is lovely, great color and very hip shape. But it doesnt fit your face. Without out any disrespect, girl - your hot! And your face deserves to be shown a bit more and I really feel a darker color would make the already very striking color of your skin, lips and eyes, a darker color would make you just POP! You rock the hat, im a hat gal too. I never leave the house without my fadora. You have such great features, you can rock the shorter hair with that exception bone structure and great skin, here is an outsider first timers perspective offering encouragement in a different direction. No negativity ment. Your video is very well done, concise and informative. The shots are perfect and the background music is pleasant and unabtrusive!

This was my first large scale mainland show and even with the back of the booth hideaway it was pretty overwhelming. Love the vlogs so keep at it plz!

This was a fun change of pace! I like it when vendors/artists show their POV as an attendee because often times it informs/improves your perspective on the other side! I had a 3-day pass and I spent most of my days in AA, I still feel like I could've gone longer lol. ANYC is getting really big, I wish they would put AA in the basement because 1) the internet is better down there and 2) it's less packed walking around 😅

OMG you were there too!!! We had the same experience and thoughts as you did. We could only get the Sunday pass even though we bought it months in advance. We spent all 7 hours at artist alley and we didn't had time to see the exhibitors, cosplays or anything else. Regardless it was fun and the art was so amazing. I wish I had more money to spend 😂. I am glad you got to go as an attendee I hope it was fun. Now we now to buy the passes a year in advance 😂

I have had to get full packaging for my journals because people seem compelled to leaf through each one (cracking spines, bending pages, leaving marks/stains, picking it up, flipping through it, picking up another, doing the same -ARGGGH). I hate having to use more throw away plastic but after loosing two dozen to manhandling...well... it's how it is. now one is out- cleary labeled "sample." Anyway... I'm so glad it was a good weekend for you!

You're definitely an inspiration! I talked off and on for a decade about trying artist alley for crafts and just never got around to it until I decided this year with everything going on, this would be my bucket list year. So now I have three approved conventions through this time next year and about a dozen waitlisted or awaiting results conventions. If you're looking for quick conventions to get in to, definitely try the FanExpo or Galaxycon ones because they're just first come, first serve. Hope you have an awesome time at Otakon and looking forward to your year in review!

i used to do con circuit in 2019 was my big year but now i use my business to supplement my main income as a medical artist. i've sold for 10 years at conventions and i love it and i love making stuff it's addicting in a way, but i think the more typical artist alley to business story is that we still have day jobs, even if just part time until the business can actually genuinely support in profit. i know it's possible and people do it but alot of us don't experience that bridge from micro business to small business. ( im thinkin like carmico, liliuhm, noble demons) though now! im getting back into it now that i've gotten a bit of a balance between full time and my AA stuff so hoping to attend some more next year :3 hope to run into you at an event!
