I was at animusa as well and I also got in through the hunger games so idk what that was about. The con was definitely pretty slow and it is small. You said you went back in 2014? From what I've seen the con was a lot bigger back then and then got pretty small so I dont think you are misremembering it being bigger. I know for a fact some people didn't go because of the weather. When i posted about selling some people said they had to cancel going because of the weather.
I've been attenting this con since 2018 and this was my first time selling there. At first I didnt like the con all that much and just saw it as something to do in my con off-season but after 2022 I started to really appreciate the vibes of a small con. Even though we didnt do that great last year I plan on giving it one more shot this year so I hope i can get accepted!

It certainly was a small con and being shoved back behind the vendors didn't help in combo with the weather. But that said, it was still enjoyable getting to meet you and all the other artists there! can u do a video on what u submit to the cons ? i wanna do it too but i have no idea what to put in what i submit? and or how u find out about them ? ive looked in to the ones i normally go to but thats not much and im also worried about the no fan art rules but u have some so i didnt know how u deal with that too :)
That's a great idea! I'll definitely do it when I have some time. I've learned a lot of techniques and such over the year to finding cons and applying to them. I hope you can be patient with me!

I had four outdoor markets in Maryland in September- the weather ruined three of them - that weekend being a assumed big sales one. The tropical storm predicted that weekend affected everyone. Maybe give it another go next year, it might go better.
